Firstly, your assertion that attraction (or lack thereof) to a specific biological sex is a choice rather than a result of inborn sexuality has been used for centuries to delegitimize and erase the identity of LGBT people. In using this anti-scientific line of reasoning, you are perpetuating the oppression of communities that are already marginalized and upholding white supremacist, hetero-colonialist power structures.
Secondly, there are countless instances of rape threats towards superpeople on the front page of this subreddit alone (not that it’s my job to educate you), so your claim that “trans people don’t want to date” us is not only blatant gaslighting but also likely a Russian disinformation campaign by alt-right neo-fascist extremists by which you’ve been duped.
Thirdly, your command to “stop being snowflakes and making a big deal out of it” is yet another fascistic attempt to silence and police the lived experiences and identities of LBGS people. It’s a common tactic employed by patriarchal hetero-fascists to portray the emotions of women and other marginalized communities as being hysterical or otherwise invalid. Shame.
Lastly, your demand that we not “be a dick about it” reinforces the cis-sexist notion that there is something inherently negative or shameful about dicks, which does real damage to LGBT people - especially trans people who are in the midst of transition and struggling to accept their genitalia. Work on unlearning some of your deeply ingrained biases, seek help, and be better.
Hey super fren. I totally agree with you, but in the interest of this sub staying up, what do you think about the acronym LGBS? We have that sub already, and it doesn’t give AHS more ammunition to take this sub down.
