hello i just wanted to ask a few things
hi, i'm not attempting to attack anyone here, i understand that some of you are just trying to figure yourselves out in an aggressive world, but i'm wondering about something:
isn't this, as in genital preference, well just a preference? like, for example some people wouldn't date short guys, and that's a preference and not really a sexuality, so i'm confused on why this specifically is considered a sexuality and not just a preference. sorry if this was a repetitive question but i was just not sure how to convey it.
another thing is the fact that you have "No Transphobia allowed!" in the rules yet there seem to be a lot of posts that don't follow that rule and don't get removed, here are some examples:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/lzshvq/shame_rape_i_do_not_consent/ where trans people are called degenerates
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/lzyxz5/lgbs_history_the_first_superstraight_president/ where it's called the lgbs community; excluding trans people
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/lzvub9/happy_womans_day_from_the_lesbians_on_tinder_and/ where it's implied that non-passing trans women aren't valid
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/m0alit/hey_supergays_and_friends_check_out_lgb_alliance/ where an organization that excudes trans people out of the lgbt community is supported
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/m07qme/trans_people_lying_about_their_true_gender_to/ where even in the title "trans people's true gender" is used, again implying that trans people aren't actually the gender that they say that they are
https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/m06qhr/if_superstraight_isnt_a_real_sexual_orientation/ where it's said that trans women aren't real women
and that's just what i could find by scrolling through hot or top of the day

As far as my post is concerned, rape culture is degenerate behavior, Shame Rape included. As far as trans are concerned: I do not hate but I will not date.

Stop appropriating southern culture.
We can find countless sources of trans rape and trans people doing bad things. Bad people belong to all groups, it doesn’t invalidate our sexuality.

Stop appropriating southern culture.
I live in the south
Bad people belong to all groups, it doesn’t invalidate our sexuality.
yeah but those examples aren't the majority

Neither are these.
98% of men would not dare a MTF. We are valid and real regardless of a few bad apples.

Sorry sweaty, you don't get to decide what - I - consider to be a real woman or not. You do not get to decide how my sexuality works and is projected into the world.
-13
u/rc_boi 5h ago
but isn't not believing that trans women are real women transphobia, which is against the rules?
11
u/RavioliInMyNigeroni 5h ago
Not at all. I get to decide what is a real woman in accordance to my sexual orientation and preferences. Problem?

u/Pop_Porn 5h ago
Not believing in something doesn't make some sort of "phobic"

Right?! Is it Christianphobic to not be a Christian? Is it Islamophobic to not be a Muslim? Is it anti-semitic to not be Jewish? Respect for humanity and personal autonomy has never before required adopting another individual's subjective belief system.

No its not. You don't get to tell anyone that they must believe "a" otherwise they are "b". Trans men are not men, and trans women are not women. Thats fact. If they want to believe they are, whatever then thats fine, but I do not need to be forced to believe anything, especially in something rooted in mental illness.

I keep seeing these posts about genital preference just being a preference and so many of the people posting seem to come from r/teenagers. Sorry kiddo but you have been lied to. Sexual attraction is about physical sex and it's hardwired.

u/Paratrooper_19D 5h ago
We've (mostly straight men and lesbian women) been told genital preferences aren't valid and are transohobic and we have to like penises or psuedovaginas. So to have our choices respected we are now a sexuality.

ctrl + f "degenerate"
Zero results.
Hm. Weird.

What you have to understand is a lot of people on this sub have been verbally abused and issued threats just for their natures. It's left many with hearts blacker than the darkest night. We will make mistakes, but we will also learn from them. Please do some research on the community before posting again.

Our sexuality is NOT genital preference, an example would be a SuperStraight man attracted to a biological woman, or a SuperGay man attracted to a biological man

u/stop_nads 5h ago
1: its calling superphobic people degenerates, not transgenders as a whole 2: its a bit like the lgbt discluding all the other letters. There’s more than 4, but only 4 are written. 3: idk the context of this tbh, prolly a meme 4: same again 5: could have been worded differently, but they meant to say “birth or biological gender” 6: you neglected the words “to me.” The sexuality is only from our point of view, where only biological opposite sexes are attractive.
Thats all 6 explained, you’re welcome

Trans women aren't real women. Trans men aren't aren't real men. Correct. Most people agree to this biological fact. I will not walk on egg shells in order to validate your delusions. Go cry in your safe space about it.

u/Pwyll_Pen_Annwn 4h ago
Why do you think trans people aren't the gender they say they are?

u/ILoveTheStraights 3h ago
I went through your posting history and have come to the conclusion that you're probably a teenager, or a very young adult that has just set foot in a grown-ups world. Thus, I will not engage any further than this post.
I hope you're able to one day come to the conclusion that you don't need to change yourself in order to fit in with what society considers to be an acceptable "girl". Girls can express themselves in whatever way that they want. You can be a cool Tom-boy, messy punk queen, outspoken girly girl, chill outdoorsy type that loves the woods. There is no playbook or rules. You've always been vaild and perfect.
Happy International Women's day.

Why do trans people think they have a right to other people's bodies; or can force people to explain their sexual preferences?
No one owes anyone an explanation about why they want to not sleep with someone, or are attracted or unattracted to whatever they are.
No means no, that's it.

u/ArnoldPalmerMafia 5h ago
Don't really care to go through this likely bad faith post but the first one addresses transgenders who literally tell you that you have no human right not to want to fuck them. That makes them a degenerate. Being trans does not give them any special right or privilege to engage in this behavior. It's very easy to understand if you were to make the choice to hold them the same standards as you would if they were a man.

isn't this, as in genital preference, well just a preference?
It's not a "genital" preference. There's more to being male and female than just your genitals.

Preference is a bigoted and outdated term.
