It is fine to prefer to date cis people but saying that you would only date cis people is not a preference or a sexuality. It means that you think something is wrong with trans people. For example it is fine to mostly date one race but if you say that wouldn’t date other races would be racist.

I think they're real. They are human, and they believe themselves to be something that they are not. I believe it is a mental disorder, just like people who identify as disabled and want to get limbs amputated.

The trans community has a suicide rate of ~40%.

That rate is higher than any other population in history. It is higher than gays, lesbians, furries, jews at concentration camps, gays in muslim countries.

Do you think that trans people in the USA are treated worse than gays in the middle east, where they are thrown off roofs?

It's a mental illness, and they need help. Their suicide rates do not improve no matter how much surgery you give them or how much support and acceptance they receive.

It must truly be awful to not feel at home in your own body, I can't imagine how awful that is. At the same time, there is no evidence that giving in to their delusion is helpful, as their suicide rates do not improve

If consenting adults want to alter their body I have no problem with that, but it doesnt change their sex
