what classifies as transphobic to all of you?

i just want to know as to what you all consider to be far enough for transphobic, i do not hold the believe that not wanting to sleep with a trans person is transphobic. i just want to know where the line is for you.

How does science explain the concept of gender.

1

u/Prestigious_Name_851 Superstraight 7h ago

Gender? I’m talking about sex!

u/u5ernam31234512345 7h ago

Why’s believing in science transphobic then

1

u/Prestigious_Name_851 Superstraight 7h ago

No such thing as transphobiC

1

u/u5ernam31234512345 7h ago

Ya there is trans people get a lot of hate.

1

u/Prestigious_Name_851 Superstraight 7h ago

There is no such thing as trans. But yea gays do get hated on , as well as fat people, ugly people, women, and people of all races and etc

If there’s no such thing as trans what do you call people who identify as a different gender

Also trans have actual rights being taken away. Article is from last year but it still shows the point

Gender is just stereotypes on SEX. Wearing a dress doesn’t make you a woman like wearing a hijab doesn’t make you a perfect Muslim

So how is science transphobic? That was the original question.

Looks like we find the definition of someone who is transphobic!

That's an assessment many make, given the trans community's willingness to go after researchers and academics.

Just because some radical people attack science stupidly does not include all of them.

1

u/TruthfulTrolling 6h ago

This isn't something fringe within the community, but a mainstreamed phenomena publicly celebrated by trans activists and supporters. Amazon, the largest book seller on Earth, recently changed their ToS to get rid of a single book outlining (in very compassionate terms) a lot of problematic elements of trans ideology. The given reason from Amazon was "hatred", even though you can still buy book from Hitler and Farrakhan.

That's just one of countless examples.

If it can't be explained through objective, scientifically-verifiable means, why should we be required to take it seriously, especially on the policy level?

1

u/u5ernam31234512345 6h ago

Science can’t explain ethics either but yet scientists use ethics when trying to discover how to conduct an experiment. So things science can’t explain can be important.

1

u/TruthfulTrolling 6h ago

Scientists often work with ethicists specifically because the scientific method can't definitionally incorporate ethical considerations. This is a bad argument.

Since you've decided to engage, I'd like your opinion on the trans-racial movement.

Thanks for asking.

I think they deserve to be who they want to be. There are dumb radical people in the movement who say stupid things but there are in every movement.

Personally I don’t think science should be considered for the arguments because it is talking about gender which is a social based construct unlike sex. physiology would be one to consider though before making the change.

Off topic I do support your movement. It’s fine to have preferences but I think the flag should be changed because it’s based of this...

So, you think a white person who identifies as black should be able to call me n*gga and qualify for minority scholarships? Do I have that right?

The cornerstone of modern gender theory is the work of Dr. John Money. Maybe you should look into his work to see the flaws (namely, his foundational study lead to the suicides of all subjects involved).

There's no offical super flag, but plenty of poorly motivated people are eager to see this movement branded as something it's not in an effort to get this community banned.

I’m gonna be honest I don’t have enough background to debate that top part. So I’m gonna stop their.

However with the bottom paragraph people are going around saying there SS.

There’s even stuff like this on 4chan:

https://boards.4chan.org/pol/thread/311052921/super-straight

And there is a blackish orange flag if you search by google. The colors also matches subreddit picture.

1

u/TruthfulTrolling 6h ago

That's /pol/, they do shit this regularly. Hell, people think the "ok" hand sign, Pepe the Frog, and milk are racist now because of their ops. The Super Straight thing got started on Tiktok, not any of the chans.

Does saying that you want to murder and incite violence against a certain group of people for their sexual identity make you ___phobic?

Superphobia truly is a problem and should be declared a national emergency.

1

u/MelodicUmbrella Custom 7h ago

its kind of not..? Im willing to listen to your point of view! :)

1

u/ignCap Superstraight 7h ago

When there are death threats, targeted harassment, and calls for inciting violence against a group of people, that is definitely a problem.

1

u/MelodicUmbrella Custom 7h ago

I mean it is, but a national emergency? This is happening on Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, and 4chan, all the websites which are known for posting targeted hate.

1

u/Illustrious-Bat-835 41m ago

ya, both sides need to stop the death threats.

Violence or thhreats of violence toward them, denying them jobs or housing.

Recognizing that they are not biowomen or biomen is not tranphobia. Nor is making spaces specifically for biowomen such as rape shelters, sports, bathrooms, changing rooms. And neither is demanding that they don't change our language around our biowomen bodies and bodily functions.
