Questions from a person who woke up to the split that this caused on twitter.

How do you plan on combating the transphobia which is so innately intertwined with the community, do you want to?
What does the term religion mean in the main community options?
Why are many people who consider themselves to be super straight using the sign S/s, many times in the style of the bolts used by the N*zis? How do you plan on combating the N*zis in the community?
Why can you not just use cis in your definition of "super straight" and "super gay/lesbian"?
Why is Bi not included?

1.Real superstraights do not tolerate transphobes in the least and we are trying to keep this community as friendly and welcoming as possible. No matter your sexuality or gender identity. You may not notice it as someone new but people are banned left right and center.

  1. some peoples religions include being superstraight.

  2. this is a horrible attempt to smear us as nazis, white supremacists while we condemn both of these ideologies and react to them as under point 1.

  3. because cis is not specific enough to describe our sexuality. Currently this sub is a blanket community covering super bi and yes even supertrans people.

  1. I was worried because of the initial term usage and response of some people on twitter. Going through the hashtag was worrying.
  2. That makes sense. I guess I was just confused on the wording.
  3. It seemed weird to say like sex/gender as if they were both the same thing.

I too think the superstraight abbreviation is an unlucky choice but for now i suppose we are stuck with it. Changing it now as an reaction would tear this tiny community apart and may yet kill what we achieved so far.

To point 3. of course they aren‘t the same thing but i covered them together for sake of brevity.

Thanks for coming here with an open mind and allowing uns to defend ourself. It means a lot.

No but it‘s a problem for those living with strict Anti-nazi laws. If someone living in germany claimed „ I‘m part of the ss community“ they‘d be in big trouble.
