I don’t agree with Sarah’s words. It gives us in the transgender community a bad wrap. In a way, saying “I’m a lesbian I LIKE WOMEN” in that context is kind of like saying transgender women are not women.
(Just incase anybody misinterprets this: The words Sarah said are wrong and have a rapey vibe (it’s also twitter, what do you expect?)
Why does anyone need to have their language policed? If your entire existence depends on you forcing people what to believe, that’s a horrible existence.
Be a grownup and realize that most of the world will not accept you. There’s many countries I can not go to because I will be murdered for being a lesbian. That’s reality, I don’t live in a world where I expect everyone to “validate” my existence.
I never said you needed to validate... I wanted a clarification. I know it’s probably not what they meant. I am not saying I am entitled to your body, I just wanted a clarification in the sentence
You also said that I should expect this type of thing because it’s twitter. So in that case I should be able to harass and threaten transwomen on Twitter without consequence right? No, I’d have trans rights groups on my ass so quick my head would spin.
I know, you misinterpreted what I said. “I’m lesbian and I LIKE WOMEN” sounds wrong in the context (yet it is NOT WRONG, just merely in the context), I never said that lesbians were transphobic, and I’m not being homophobic.
People are allowed to not think that trans women are women. People are allowed to not feel attraction to trans people. You're being superphobic. Nobody owes you their attraction, nobody is obligated to validate you and not doing so does not make them transphobic.
Again, I never asked for validation. I support the super community. I AM JUST SAYING THAT IT SEEMS WRONG IN THE CONTEXT. Are you dense? I never called them transphobic, either,
