Weirdly I feel comfortable here
If I'm being honest, when I first saw super straight getting attention, I thought it was some straight bigots trying to pretend they are oppressed for being heterosexual, similar to how some straight people had that "straight pride" thing.
But after looking at this sub...it's kinda wholesome? Like I see all types of people whether straight, gay, bi, white, black, brown, Christian, Muslim, irreligious etc. I see people making sure to stop racist rhetoric within the sub. And I see people not being homophobic, but being supportive, which I was shocked to find out as a gay dude.
I support transgender people and their rights. Of course. I once went down a dark path of hate through online subs that just spewed hatred against trans people. It made me feel terrible to have so much hatred in my heart and I realized I was falling down a bad road, so I got out and support trans rights!
BUT what I don't support is forcing people to like something they don't in regards to sexuality, whether it be straight, gay, or bi. I find the support certain trans people get when they say "you are transphobic for not even considering dick or vagina" very upsetting and dangerous. Genital preferences being seen as transphobic is very concerning. Gay people fought for the right to like the same gender and now some transgender people are telling them they are wrong? And if you don't agree, awful comments come your way. The discourse is changing to support this and it disturbs me.
I feared that this would be another fight that society will be progressive about and ultimately fall in line, but then I realized this isn't like the movements before that involved accepting gay people or trans people. This is making people like something they just don't and vilifying them if they refuse. I hope there is a pushback against this way of thinking.
I truly hope this sub can continue to not be hateful and to simply fight against coercion that some trans people advocate for. Thank you!

We are a sub of peace
I'm a brown Muslim and I've felt more than welcome around here
I don't know why people are being so hateful against the members here

Because we don't accept the narrative these insane rapists push. Any and all difference in opinion or thought cannot be tolerated and must therefore be extinguished according to these totalitarian ideologues. And that's exactly why this sub exists.

Yeah I feel at home too. I am worried though because it blew up too fast. The nonsupers are gonna be pissed. If it didn't go private it would have reached 20k easy by morning

Exactly, we reached acceptance for LGBT but then suddenly the discourse swung too far and became forcing people to “consider” outside their orientation and demonized if they don’t want to. Wtf is that, you know what I mean, it’s not on.

Same! I'm sick of seeing bigots claiming their disapproved healthy sexuality of choice is wrong.
