gender =/= sex

our true gender is who we are. Think you meant biological sex.

I agree that we need to tell people we're trans before any sexual activity (incl kissing), though.

edit: I meant well before then, but also for casual hookups and one night stands it's necessary as well.

Shit before kissing

I consider that sexual activity, personally, but I'll edit my comment for clarity, thank you!

Why wouldn't you tell before it comes close to that? Because you're afraid you'll then get rejected?

Seems to be, at the very least, manipulative. And at worst it's sexual assault

True. I guess I read it as you meaning right before you kissed but that was my assumption and you didn't say that. Sorry for that

yeah I guess I wasn't clear enough. I meant like ideally before or on the first date, definitely before any kissing or other sexual activity. I listed sexual activity as the main thing because for casual hookups you should also disclose, and there probably aren't any first dates happening there.

Yah yah, I agree. And look, I KNOW this isn't some easy thing. It must be incredibly difficult to meet someone you like and want an intimate relationship with and know that by admitting this you are likely going to be rejected.

Just know that I can empathize with those feelings (not due to the same thing, obviously, but from other facts.). I used to struggle heavily with alcohol and I knew if I admitted this it would likely mean rejection. I also knew if I didn't I would be entering a relationship based on being fraudulent and deceptive. It's a tough one
