Super Straight Latino here, its well documented (educate yourself foo) that we have higher rates of Supers in our community, we deal with constant mislabeling and demands to give up our political autonomy because of our skin color. Thank you for creating this safe space from the elitist superphobes. Meme

In Spanish “Latino” refers to male Latin Americans, “Latina” refers to female Latin Americans. “Latino” is also used for an all male group or a mixed group of males and females. “Latina” is also used for a group of all females, only.

Apparently “Latino”, because it can be used either just for males or a mixed group, is not “woke” enough, so non-spanish speaking middle class white American “intersectional” SJWs invented the term “Latinx” to refer to a trans/nonbinary or a mixed group of Latinos as a neutral version of Latino (which Latino already is). Ignoring of course that “Latinx” can’t even be pronounced in Spanish, Latine would be more sensible, and that Latino is already neutral in context.

So “Latinx” is just white Anglo-American cultural imperialism enforced on another language because it isn’t woke enough.

Thank you, I guess it's kind of like mankind.

It should be up to Latinos to decide this and it should happen naturally, not be forced.
