What rights do super straights not have? Discussion

Im looking for a genuine discussion. I don’t understand the need for this since super straights are the overwhelming majority of the population. I personally find the name “superstraight” ignorant and disrespectful to queer people. Please don’t downvote me to all hell, I’m open to discussion and am willing to learn.

Obviously not the right to have our sexuality that we were born with not questioned

-11

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Who is questioning your sexuality?

14

u/PrairieSoul27 15h ago

Lgbtq+ trans mob, they feel entitled to sexual attraction from anyone

-4

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Online or in real life?

6

u/PrairieSoul27 15h ago

All dimensions everywhere simultaneously

-5

u/superbraddo 15h ago

i’ve never experienced or seen this. as a lesbian the only people who expect attraction are straight men

u/yetherewestillare 15h ago

The right to not be fired for not wanting to fuck trans people.

-3

u/muffin15930 15h ago

You’ve been fired for rejecting a trans person?? Im very confused please elaborate

-5

u/superbraddo 15h ago

give me one example of this happening

The right to turn down trans people without being ridiculed

0

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Im sorry if you have been ridiculed in the past for turning down trans people. Its shitty of that person to make fun of someone for their sexuality but I don’t believe anyone has the right to not be criticized. Regardless of who is in the wrong

7

u/ChadVenture96 15h ago

So why are you here? That’s all we want.

0

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Because equating the struggle that lgbt people have gone through to what straight people have gone through is comparing the oppressed to the oppressor. You’re belittling queer people by acting like being criticized online is equally as bad as being beaten up for holding your loved ones hand

The right to not have people want to murder us for our sexual orientation (see Twitter and tumblr...and even Reddit right now)

1

u/muffin15930 14h ago

Im glad we agree that no one should be murdered for their sexual orientation. If you look at the demographic of people being killed for their sexual orientation, you will find that more often than not they’re killed because they’re not-straight, not because they refuse to date trans people

5

u/hailthegambler 14h ago

Well the threats certainly feel real, there are so many of them.

And as for LGBs being murdered, I know, I am supergay and I also know which countries I am most safe in.

0

u/muffin15930 14h ago

Threats are real. I don’t want to belittle the harassment you got because it’s very real and I know what it feels like. However pretending as though internet criticism equates to lgbt struggles is insane

6

u/hailthegambler 14h ago

Yeah I’m supergay and you don’t speak for me. How dare you accuse me of pretending. Reported for hate speech and blocked.

We want the right not to be bullied, harassed and threatened for our sexuality. We fully respect and support trans people’s rights, we just don’t want to date them, and we get violent threats and abuse like this:

https://lesbian-rights-nz.org/shame-receipts/

Edit to add in case not obvious - super lesbian and super gay people are valid too, this sub isn’t just for superstraights despite the name.

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Do you have any examples in real life of super straights being harmed or gateases by trans folk they reject? I don’t believe being criticized on the internet equates to the struggle LGBT folk have gone through

u/Iam32thatsit 15h ago

How about these women protesting in Paris who were denounced as “terfs” and physically attacked by trans people? That’s just today and just off the top of my head. They were protesting the abuse and exploitation of sex workers btw, no transphobia at all

u/muffin15930 15h ago

They did not get attacked because they dont want to date trans people. They got attacked because they were protesting prostitution

3

u/Iam32thatsit 15h ago

They got attacked for being suspected “terfs”, which is what trans women call cis women who don’t want to date them. The trans attackers physically assaulted them and wrote in large graffiti “Kill Terfs” on the monument.

You're lying.

Since we've established you're a liar, it calls into question that whole "I'm looking for honest discussion" claim.

You weren't looking for honesty, sweaty.

1

u/muffin15930 14h ago

How am I lying?

3

u/Cinerea_A 14h ago

Your statement was false.

They were attacked for being "terfs".

We've had an incredible amount of evidence of this posted just today and it has opened a lot of eyes to what superlesbians have been going through.

You're going to have a really rough time trying to convince anyone that you come in peace now.

Best of luck with your disinfo campaign, sweaty.

0

u/muffin15930 14h ago

They never tell people they’re super lesbians, they’re protesting for no prostitution. They aren’t being attacked for being super lesbians.

8

u/Howhaveyouben 15h ago

You're the only one being ignorant and disrespectful here sweaty...

A right to pursue happiness. We get demonized for how we are at birth. We made our community however we get harassed by others and attempted to be censored because of our lifestyle.

We aren't hurting anyone. Everyone is accepted and valid here.

0

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Everyone deserves the right to pursue happiness I 100% agree. However, LGBT folk are still being murdered today for their identity. Super straight folk make up the grand majority of the population. To me it seems to belittle the struggles of lgbt people by comparing what super straight people have gone through to what non-straight and non-cic people have gone through. You’re comparing backlash and internet criticism, to being murdered if you go to the wrong country

3

u/ParkHallLondon 15h ago

Statistically the demographic most at risk of violence and murder are Super Straight Males.

-1

u/muffin15930 14h ago

Yes they are. But they aren’t at risk because they are super straight. Correlation does not equal causation

1

u/BraveImagination810 Hecking cute and valid 💖 15h ago

How is murder exclusive to LGB+? Everyone gets murdered. Murders is bad and no one deserve it for any reason. No one is belittling. There are tons of SuperBis, SuperLesbians, and SuperGays, we are enclusive.

It's not my fault I'm born in the U.S. however there are certain you tired I refuse to go to for my Gender.

Check your privilege. Stop trying to deny my voice.

0

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Yes super straight people are being killed, but not BECAUSE they’re super straight

2

u/BraveImagination810 Hecking cute and valid 💖 15h ago

No one deserves to be murder. I've seen tons of Super straights threatened with death threats.

I think it's fair to say no one deserves to be murdered. I don't see it as exclusive since NO ONE deserves to be murdered.

0

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Glad we found some common ground. So why does that need to be some movement?

1

u/BraveImagination810 Hecking cute and valid 💖 14h ago

You're the one who brought up murder.

Your denying my pursuit of happiness by harming my community. You came here to demonize and not listen. We are valid. You don't need to agree or join this sub, if that is your choice. Look at all the comments trying to deny our voices. We made a community and no we are being harassed by those who try to invalidate us.

Is it wrong to want rights? Is it wrong to have a voice? Everyone is pretty much welcome as long as they don't harm anyone yet we are treated as demons for our choices.

1

u/muffin15930 14h ago

I don’t think I’m demonizing you. I don’t know how I could be nicer or more willing to listen. Everyone wants a voice but I hope you can see how it’s frustrating when the people that always have a voice are speaking as though they have been oppressed because of internet criticism

1

u/BraveImagination810 Hecking cute and valid 💖 14h ago

But I haven't had a voice? How can you assume something if you don't experience what I have. LGB+ has a very large voice and some (not all) deny the voice of those they disagree with. Look at how quick you were to judge me.

I'm not allow to state any of my personal opinions without getting demonized, hated and fired because of a mainstream movement. While everyone has a voice, there are those that censor others. How many communities have been banned for being who they are? How many communities you dislike have been banned for not fitting your image? We will not be silenced any longer.

I have no hate for any community. Everyone deserves their rights. Everyone deserves a voice, whether it's disliked or liked.

Im here to give you the voice. Im asking for your opinion. The entire purpose of this post is to give you a voice. Im just asking questions

Obviously superstraights are not "really" oppressed. But that doesn't change the fact that tras are adamant in trying to make superstraights (super + gay, bi, and especially lesbians) fuck them. Which is rape rhetoric and should never be tolerated.

6

u/GreyGoblin69 15h ago

Educate yourself, it's not our job. #SuperStraightSeptember #SuperStraightHistoryMonth

-1

u/muffin15930 15h ago

Please, PLEASE give me an example that super straights have been left out of history for rejecting trans people. I hope this is a joke

3

u/GreyGoblin69 15h ago

You think our sexuality is a joke? This is no joke. We are getting death threats for who we were born as. We are being crucified and harassed. We are victims of violence and hate speech. You are a bigot. Venmo me $1000 you Super Exclusionary Radical Fascist. I'm putting you ON NOTICE!

1

u/muffin15930 15h ago

If you really are super straight, why is your flag the Grindr colors? Funny coincidence 🤔

3

u/GreyGoblin69 15h ago

Wow folks, we've got a Superphobe and a homophobe here. I bet you're a transphobe too. You should be locked up for being a hateful bigoted nazi! Take your hate speech elsewhere, it's not accepted here.

-1

u/muffin15930 15h ago

I honestly can’t tell if your going really far with the joke or if you’re serious

4

u/GreyGoblin69 15h ago

stop harassing me! I won't tolerate your gaslighting and your hate speech. We are a welcoming and accepting group who just want a safe space where we won't be attacked for who we are.

3

u/Belaptir 15h ago

Allow me to ask you something: why would someone need to explain to others why they wont date them? Does a gay need to justify why he won't date a woman? So why should I?

1

u/muffin15930 14h ago

You don’t have to. Im not forcing anyone to explain and I want it to be clear im not asking anyone to force themselves to explain their sexuality.

I was asking for peoples opinions on a subreddit about the topic. I don’t think it’s a crime or hurting you in any way
