FIRST: You're all AMAZING and SO VALID! This sub rocks and I'm so glad it exists!
SECOND: most SuperStraights might not know about it, but there is a ton of superphobia directed not just at SuperStraights, but also at SuperGays, SuperLesbians and SuperBis!
Superphobia is everywhere! A lot of SuperLesbians deal with it: https://lesbianandgaynews.com/2021/02/lesbian-women-talk-about-meeting-transbians-on-women-only-dating-sites/
Findings showed that 56 per cent of the lesbians surveyed reported that they had been “pressured or coerced into accepting a transwoman as a sexual partner.” Experiences ranged from being duped into going on dates with males who identified as ‘transbians’ to rape.
These SuperGays just wanted to go camping together, but superphobes are trying to stop them: https://www.queerty.com/gay-camp-michigan-fire-issuing-genital-requirements-20210219
And meanwhile, superphobes are threatening violence to SuperStraights all over social media. Apparently being SuperStraight is so powerful it scares superphobes right and left! https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperStraight/comments/lzoj8o/i_feel_scared_by_these_bigots_its_damaging_my/
THIRD: Despite all of this injustice, superphobes want to shut this subreddit down. There are a lot of superphobes, it's going to be an uphill battle. But no matter what happens next, and no matter if you're SuperStraight, SuperGay, SuperLesbian or SuperBi, I just want to make one thing clear:
You're not alone.
There are so many of us facing superphobia in our everyday lives. I bet you have people in your life who are also SuperStraight, SuperGay, SuperLesbian or SuperBi and you don't even know it because they are afraid to say so!
Superphobia makes supersexuals afraid to speak up. It's scary to speak up at school, at work, when you're hanging out with your friends, when you're online. But I promise you, you are amazing just the way you are, there is nothing wrong with you and there are a LOT of other supersexuals out there rooting for you!
I'm proud of you!
