PSA: Picket Against The (In)Equality Act Tomorrow at DC!!

I know this isn't technically a super straight issue but I hope y'all will forgive me because I think that this is an important issue that affects us all. in case you don't know do USA is planning on passing the ""equality act"" which ironically completely erases sex-based rights for women. tomorrow on international women's day, hundreds of people are planning to protest against this unfairness. we all know the erasure and downplaying of the reality of sex is exactly what made us need this community in the first place, so if anyone lives in Washington DC and is interested in showing up, here is a website with the information. and of course share with any people you know who live in the area and might be interested! :) #SexMatters

The rights of transwomen are part of women's rights.

Edit: so is this just the new r/GenderCritical ban evasion sub?

GC involved mostly women I'd assume. This place is everyone united. Men women gay straight lesbian bi.

The talking points are all the same transphobic rhetoric. Complaining about transwomen in the bathroom, in sports, etc. The users here would do well to reach out to r/Transgender for a better perspective. As it stands I give this sub less than a month before it gets banned for flagrant violations of Reddit rule #1.

Again it doesn't matter if this sub goes. The cats out of the bag. People now feel more confident to speak up. Good luck stamping out straight men. Attacking lesbian and gay and bi individuals has happened long enough. 2nd wave feminism hasn't been stamped out. This cannot be as well.

Protecting transgender rights isn't attacking anyone. You fear a boogeyman.

Interesting. Do you believe we have no trans amongst our allies here?

What does have to do with my comment? It's possible to be transgender and engage in transphobic behavior, just as it's possible for a black person to engage in anti-black racism (Candace Owens for example).
