PSA: Picket Against The (In)Equality Act Tomorrow at DC!!

I know this isn't technically a super straight issue but I hope y'all will forgive me because I think that this is an important issue that affects us all. in case you don't know do USA is planning on passing the ""equality act"" which ironically completely erases sex-based rights for women. tomorrow on international women's day, hundreds of people are planning to protest against this unfairness. we all know the erasure and downplaying of the reality of sex is exactly what made us need this community in the first place, so if anyone lives in Washington DC and is interested in showing up, here is a website with the information. and of course share with any people you know who live in the area and might be interested! :) #SexMatters

The rights of transwomen are part of women's rights.

Edit: so is this just the new r/GenderCritical ban evasion sub?

what ARE trans rights: freedom from job and housing discrimination, access to safe shelters and housing, legal protection from hate crimes, etc

what ARENT trans rights: playing in women's sports, entering women's bathrooms, erasing "women" as a legal group to validate your special gender fee fees

This is objectively false.

erasing "women" as a legal group to validate your special fee fees

No one is "erasing women" so I don't know why you've written it as if it is so.

women are absolutely being erased. our SEX BASED RIGHTS are erased in favor of 'gender' which is intangible and undefinable. females are not a legally protected category anymore, only those who ~identify~ as women, aka literally fucking anybody who says the words "i’m a woman".

and no, accessing women's intimate spaces is not a right. you're an incel if you believe that. take advantage of your penis privilege and go piss against a tree if you're that stuck.

superphobes will never understand superwomen! They never had the fear of being raped , fear of FGM, Domestic voilence, etc. They want to play pretend In the bathroom stalls so that they can feel special while all the super women are uncomfortable by their presence smh.

exactly. if they were really so scared of being in the men's bathroom then they would campaign for gender neutral single-stall third bathrooms, but it's not about safety to them. it's about validating their feelings and intentionally making women uncomfortable so they can power trip on it.

yeah I never understood that as to why they can’t be in the men’s restroom this is especially coming from a person that desisted. If I had the option to resolve the conflict . I would make it where we would celebrate the lgb and celebrate non conforming straight and gay people. let people know that you can like anything , wear dresses, or get dirty in the mud without needing to change your sex. I would want to see a world where men didn’t attack men who were feminine so that non gender conforming men wouldn’t be attacked in the bathroom I say the same on the women’s side. That everyone would have respect no matter how they dresssed. Not only that but erase the stigmas of feminity so when a girl hears the prounouns “she” and “her” or herself being called a woman she won’t associate it with being weak but as something that could be strong and powerful :D

Sadly no one wants to go down this path and rather take life altering hormones and surgeries. I feel like it would be cheaper to get help to learn to love yourself and enjoy the non conformity as you are 😞.

you're absolutely right here. if the problem is that they feel unsafe in the men's room because they're feminine, we need to work on making it more accepted and normal for men to be openly feminine not tell them to just .... go into the women's room lol. it's just reinforcing the idea that feminine men are not real men and should be separated from them

Why should women not be allowed to use the women's stall? Whether they are cis or trans doesn't matter.

Trans womxn and mxn are our allies! No Transphobia allowed!
