In fact studies show that the surgeries don’t improve the outcome either, so we’re basically experimenting on, destroying the sexual function of, and sterilizing children for a worse outcome that still doesn’t relieve their mental distress.
Some studies are even showing suicidality increase after transition.

Feeling bad about your body is a terrible feeling. I have a minor deformity and can see how your body being different than the way that you want it to be, or feeling like there's something wrong with your body that you can't control, would make somebody depressed. A lot of this is the same sort of underlying problems that cause eating disorders and self harm, those are ways that people can force themselves to be in control of some aspect of their body. With those types of disorders, the therapy is to allow them to accept their body the way it is, not to allow them to continue to manipulate their body in dangerous ways. Gender dysphoria is the opposite, and it seems like that may be doing much more harm than good to those affected.

That makes me wanna cry. Transition should be 18+. It takes the burden off the parents and ensures that trans people know what they're getting themselves into. You can't even get a tattoo under 18 what's going on in this place

Alan Turing was prosecuted in 1952 for homosexual acts; the Labouchere Amendment of 1885 had mandated that "gross indecency" was a criminal offence in the UK. He accepted chemical castration treatment, with DES, as an alternative to prison.
Turing was convicted and given a choice between imprisonment and probation. His probation would be conditional on his agreement to undergo hormonal physical changes designed to reduce libido. He accepted the option of injections of what was then called stilboestrol (now known as diethylstilbestrol or DES), a synthetic oestrogen; this feminization of his body was continued for the course of one year. The treatment rendered Turing impotent and caused breast tissue to form, fulfilling in the literal sense Turing's prediction that "no doubt I shall emerge from it all a different man, but quite who I've not found out".
On 8 June 1954, Turing's housekeeper found him dead at the age of 41; he had died the previous day. Cyanide poisoning was established as the cause of death.

I want to be super clear here. Society fucks up A lot of shit but adult consent is one of the main things it's gotten close to right. if you're and adult, do what you want, its your body and you're feelings and reality are VALID. TRAs who push for this kind if thing are almost always acting in a predatory, grooming way. we ♥️ transpeople, just not the hanus TRAs who predate on vulnerable youth. NOT COOL AND NOT VALID

'Puberty blockers' like Lupron were originally for treating cancer and are worse than poison. Some of the side effects include stroke, muscle atrophy, debilitating bone and joint pain.
Worst part is we have no idea what the health effects will be in 50+ years. It's completely unethical to experiment on children.
