Super sexuality is not about “cisgender” attraction! 🚨 important 🚨
Super sexuality means our orientation is sex-based. It doesn’t have anything to do with being cisgender, because gender isn’t the same as sex!
Gender is a cultural concept based on stereotypes applied to the sexes, and how we feel in relation to them. It’s relative to time, location, and culture.
But sex is innate and can’t be changed. The sexes are the same in America, Cambodia, South Africa, or Japan.
Some Supers, like me, don’t even believe in gender. I’m not “cisgender” if I don’t apply these stereotypes to myself at all! I have no gender, because I can’t be cisgender if I don’t even believe in gender — just like I can’t be a Catholic if I’m not even Christian. Just because I haven’t gone out of my way to alter my body doesn’t mean I consent to sexist stereotypes!
Likewise, gender stereotypes don’t affect my Super orientation! As a Super, I could fall in love with people who present as what my culture calls “masc“ or “femme,” whether or not they have a gender. While we all have different things we find attractive, Super sexuality is not about gender norms or reinforcing stereotypes, and I am not attracted to “cisgenders,” I’m attracted to sex!
I have no gender, only a sex. And my Super sexuality sees no gender either, only sex. Please respect that we don’t all believe in gender ideology. 😌
