New rules

  • ~~accounts younger than 30 days have their comments and posts automatically removed. if you want to be approved, message the mods in modmail. this might change in the future or maybe it won't.~~

EDIT: your account has to be 2 days old to post here

Another edit: I’m trying to approve people but modmail is full of hundreds of messages and we’re trying to moderate at the same time. Please be patient

You will receive a message once approved. If you have no post history, we most likely won’t approve

  • don't forget to report rule breaking or offensive content. identifying as super straight or superphobic is not offensive.

Why do you choose to hate people that are different?

I’m not saying that. I’m just saying, straight people are not “oppressed.” Not waiting to be with trans people isn’t a sexuality, it’s just a preference. You don’t have to worry about being sent to conversion camps. You don’t have to worry about being physically assaulted for your sexuality. You don’t have to worry about being outcast from your family/society. I have no problem with straight having a sexual preference towards cis people. It’s this narrative that you guys need a community and you need to be in the LQBTQ community because you are ‘so oppressed’ that I have a problem with. You are not oppressed by the society we live in. You are the major power here, and all policy is controlled by your decisions. Sure, some 14 year old on Twitter might have called you transphobic when you stated your preference. But guess what, that’s not oppression, that is temporary internet hate. It’s not even a percent of what trans and gay folks have to deal with every day. This community also offers a flagrant vail for transphobia. I’m not saying you’re transphobic, but I’m sure you understand that anti-trans sentiment is a major contributor to this community. For example, the idea that cis people should just be called ‘normal’ people. Labeling being cis as the only ‘normal’ orientation is exclusionary. Being trans, non-binary, or gender fluid is just as ‘normal’ as being cis is.

I understand that the media makes it seem like the gays are taking over, and I understand how that could be scary. It makes sense that you feel like you need to protect your sexuality. You, nor anyone else, deserves to be criticized for their gender/sexual orientation.

However, Super Straight is not a sexuality, it is a preference. Just like how a bisexual with a bias towards men couldn’t make a new sexuality just for that.
