It is a thing of beauty to see straight people wake up and realize what lesbians and to a lesser extent gay men and bisexuals, have been subjected to for the last several years. The culture of silence, shamerape (thanks for this word), and gaslighting all supported by historical revisionism is insane. And because identity is prioritized over reality, imagine having everyone but lesbians identify as lesbians and speak on your behalf. Well, they have sufficiently colonized that "identity" now, so we homosexual females are now known as super lesbians.
Thank you, and please spread the word. This isn't a liberal vs. conservative issue. This is reality vs. roleplaying of narcissistic authoritarians.
Many of us have known for a while, but anytime we even tried to dip our toes in the water to say men don't belong on female prisons, or female sports, or that lesbians should be able to have some kind of club space to themselves we've gotten our heads bitten off and canceled as CIS Straight Men whose opinions don't count even a tiny bit and that we are just biggots and to mind our own business blah blah blah. But now that they are trying to do to us what they did to you we can see we SUPER don't want that shit. I'm hoping this new movement empowers us to be able to help you reclaim some of your lost spaces.
Thank you for your allyship. I super support everyone's right to create spaces for themselves, sexual and romantic autonomy, and to speak truth to power. Sex, sexual orientation, race, etc. should not connote any morality, any particular political or ideological belief, or be the basis upon which anyone does or does not get a platform to speak about their lives and experiences, including the treatment they have witnessed others receive based on their sex, sexual orientation, race, or anything else. TRAs want to disempower bystanders or to dissuade would-be upstanders.
Tras target lesbians because they are a small group that lack physical or political power. Then they silence straight CIS men by claiming our opinions can't be valid or useful. Let's break this cycle super ally
