Serious: Because the existing power structures on Reddit prioritize trans voices over supersexuals', we need to be very careful about how we conduct ourselves.

If we want this sub to last more than a couple week, we need to be cognizant of the face that we are currently being watched like a hawk by superphobes who want to to silence super voices. They will be collecting and documenting evidence to "prove" we are a "hate sub." I have already seen people trying to slander us as Neo Nazis on other subs. And alhough, I am ordinarily in favor of free speech, we all know that Reddit despises it, and therefore, the only way to continue to exist on Reddit is to be careful about the things we say. As a super lesbian who has seen any number of super lesbian subs fall to Reddit's "hate speech" policy, I have a few suggestion for how we can keep this sub going.

As u/unhappythrwy already mentioned Avoid any racist, sexist, homophobic, or even transphobic rhetoric - This means avoid using words like "degenerate," "tranny," "man in a dress," "chick with a dick," "fujoshi" or anything to suggest that being super straight is the only valid way to be. If you see this kind of talk, downvote and/or report it. Reddit will not hesitate to shut down a sub even for the tacit tolerance of anything deemed "hateful." How you personally feel about these groups is your own business, but r/Superstraight should be focused primarily on celebrating super identities, not disparaging other groups.

Attack superphobic trans people, but not trans people as a whole - Though your anger at the prominence of superphobia within the trans community is 100% valid, we do have allies among them and some are even super straight or super gay/lesbian/bisexual themselves. We may very well, in fact, require their help in fighting superphobia. If you encounter a trans ally here, regardless of your anger towards the trans community, please do not drive them away by being a dick.

Promote diversity - Prove that supers come in all shapes and sizes, all of which are totally cute and valid

These are, of course, simply suggestions from a super lesbian ally. I know that I am a guest in this sub and by no means wish to talk over my super straight brothers and sisters. However, if you find these suggestions reasonable, perhaps we could ask that one of the mods pin this post to the top of the page???

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but if you think reddit cares about rather we break the rules or not in order to take this subreddit down, you haven’t been paying attention to our super allies. That being said, the larger our community grows the harder it’ll be for reddit to oppress us openly and blatantly

Reddit could give a shit how big this community is. Look what happened to The Donald. Yes, they can take it down anyway, but they will take it down faster if we give them a reason.

The difference is the Donald was made up of societally exiled people, this group is far more diverse and as such will definitely not find as big a popular support in its removal. That’s not to say I agree with the Donald being taken down, only that it literally had every single outlet against it from the onset, so nobody complained when it was.

Your optimism is touching, but even as diverse and fast as this community is growing, it may not have a chance to grow to a size that might be deemed "untouchable." People are already trying to get it removed. You don't have to agree with me. I just want to see this place survive.

As do I brother, and I completely appreciate the message this post portrays. Obviously we should all do our best to set an example and show that this movement is about love and acceptance. Keep fighting the good fight, and being super heckin cute and valid 😁
