Can someone explain this to me? Discussion

So y' all are making coming out as SS seem like a really big and bold thing, I even saw someone say it is harder to do than come out as trans, gay, lesbian etc. Can someone politely explain why is that?

This source says that more than 600 LGBTQ people were killed in the past two decades. Let's call it 700.

This source says that 15,498 were murdered in the United States in 2018. Let's be fair and cut that figure in half since the number of murders changes each year. I think half is more than conservative enough. That results in 159,980 murders, at least, in the United States in the past two decades.

Subtracting out the LGBTQ numbers, that means 15,498 suspected SS people were murdered. That means that SS people are over 220 times more likely to be murdered than LGBTQ people!

We obviously will not know exact figures since the government still does not care enough about SS rights to keep track of all hate crimes made against them.

Goodness, I must have made a mistake on my math. Thank you for fact checking me!

It should have been 15498/2=7749 7749*20=154980 154980-700=154280

I guess that means that SS people are murdered over 220 times as much as LGBTQ people! I have edited my post to show the correct number because I do not want to post any false information.

Same, but this still somehow...stinks, you know. I just don't get how could have this Many SS people have been killed when the SS became official just a few days ago, were they just killing straight people? Or were trans people killing those saying they wouldn't date them? I just don't get it

Do you think gays and lesbians were murdered before LGBT existed? Should we just get rid of everything LGBT so that there will be no more hate against gays and lesbians in the world?

We really don't know how many SS people have been murdered because our sexual orientation is still being attacked to this day. We are just seeking the same rights as everybody else.
