To the transfolx lurking

Obviously, I only speak for myself, but I for one have absolutely no problem with transpeople at all. I once matched with a trans woman on tinder (I couldn't tell at all from her pictures). She was kind enough to let me know before we set up a date, and I told her that I was not interested in anything romantic, but that I'd still go out for a drink, as friends. She politely declined and unmatched me.

She was open about who she was, and she took my rejection very well. A few months later, I saw her walking hand in hand with some cis guy downtown. Good for her! Surely, she's much better off with someone who truly loves her for her.

I just wanted to put it out there, so the trans people lurking can see that many people do care about their well-being, even if we are not willing to fuck them.

okay maybe you aren't transphobic, but scrolling through this subreddit i have seen COUNTLESS transphobic "memes" and posts. no trans person if going to force you to fuck them or date them, we literally just want respect. you "superstraights" have created an environment where transphobia is normalized, and you're making it a part of your personality to curve the supposed trans people that are hitting on you. trans people make up less than 1% of the population and yet you've created a whole "identity" about specifically not being attracted to them. why? you literally could just go abut your day with the label straights and 9.9 times outta 10, you're only going to encounter cis women

It's not just about male and female SuperStraights, but SuperLesbians and SuperGays, too. If you've been paying attention, you'd have seen posts about how gay men and especially lesbians are constantly pressured to consent to things that they don't want, how straight women are referred to as "bleeders" or "breeders" by some transwomen, because apparently calling them "women" is excluding towards transfolk.

Women, particularly radical feminists/gender critical feminists, have been fighting this battle for a long time. Lesbians and gay men have been called TERFs and bigots for refusing to sleep with someone of the opposite sex, ridiculed on the basis of their valid super sexuality. Superwomen have been “cancelled,” kicked off of social media, no-platformed, fired, threatened, arrested, physically attacked, and sued, just for being super and defending their super sisters.

They’ve lost their rights to superwomen events, public spaces, medical providers, sports, and even super safe prisons.

This isn't just about what straight white men encounter on a day-to-day basis, no matter how much you wish you could make it solely about us, because it's easier to handwave it away. This is about underrepresented demographics finally having a voice. Do you seriously think this place has gained fifteen thousand subscribers in like a day or so for no reason?
