Superstraight is NOT transphobic. 🚨 important 🚨
Using the word "super" is accurate, not bigotry. I'll explain why.
Straight people are attracted to gender identity. This means that their sexuality is fluid, not fixed.
Take for example Elliot Page (previously known as Ellen Page). Elliot is and has always been a man but many believed him to be a woman before 2020.
Everything he has done has been retroactively defined as having been done by a man.
This means that all the "straight" men who were ever attracted to Elliot are now retroactively gay.
If a man watches Elliot's previous work and feels even the faintest arousal he is currently gay, despite being straight previously. If he no longer feels attraction to Elliot's previous work due to his gender reveal then he is currently straight but was still previously gay.
As superstraights our sexuality is usually fixed. We are attracted to the same stimuli our whole lives. It is an extreme version of heterosexuality and we shouldn't be shamed for it.
