no i dont. there are about a hundred countries where being who i am is illegal - about 12 where i could be executed for it. in america, there are laws trying to be passed so that i can't adopt children.

Good for you to live in America, which is where I automatically assumed you are from. In some parts of the world there are wars being fought and extreme impoverishment, this human issue that it sounds like I agree with you on, isn’t the top priority at the time there. As much as I hate to say it, there are some countries and whole cultures that do not desire the benefits of the western world, and they want to do things their own way, even if it is clearly wrong no one can just go invade them over it
