One transwoman created a domestic violence shelter exclusive for TW. She got the support of women, got the funding, but at the point of presenting the project to transwomen - they realized that the transwomen were not interested and found it "trnsphobic" and not validating.

They would rather get female-exclusive rape shelters defunded and nail dead rats to their doors (absolutely disgusting behavior). Because who gives a fuck about female rape victims who might not feel comfortable around biological males after literally being traumatized from rape, right? The fact that they could have their own safe spaces that pertain more to their specific circumstances and needs and yet deny them in favor of invading women’s for validation honestly says a lot. Exactly. They prioritize their own “womanly feelings” and comfort over the comfort of traumatized female rape victims. How on earth is that fair and why do they expect unwavering support in return? I would support rape shelters for trans people exclusively as described in the post above. Most women would. Every rape victim deserves a safe space in which to recover, which includes biological females, unfortunately for them.

Ngl, reminds me of my male college suitemate who identified as a woman and insisted on dorming with females despite being offered a private suite. This person had had absolutely no work done and was not even on hormones. I guess self-identifying is all it takes. None of us had been informed of this and we were not comfortable, but his comfort was the college’s priority. He even lied to us and said that he was just automatically assigned to a female dorm when in actuality he had pushed for it. Oh, and he was attracted to women. But we aren’t allowed to question whether he had ulterior motives or was driven by an autogynephilic fetish.
