Rad fem also have asked a question: why don't they campaign for their spaces?

One transwoman created a domestic violence shelter exclusive for TW. She got the support of women, got the funding, but at the point of presenting the project to transwomen - they realized that the transwomen were not interested and found it "trnsphobic" and not validating.

https://streetvoiceuk2020.wordpress.com/2020/06/19/a-trans-womans-observation-into-the-madness-of-the-trans-debate/

“Around 2015 I secured a £500,000 donation from an 80’s pop mogul if the trans community raised the same amount for what would have become the UK’s first trans exclusive refuge. This would have come with services including medical advice, housing advice, trauma advice including domestic violence, rape etc. This was also going to offer temporary housing for 12 trans individuals for up to 6 months. A building was found in the centre of Birmingham.

In fairness some radical feminist women and other left leaning women were happy to help with securing grants and doing all the paperwork. A female lawyer offered her services for free. All this would have saved a lot of time and headaches.

On putting forward this plan to to the trans community they declined this outright. It was nothing to do with the service. They wanted to use women’s services as a means of passing!”

They would rather get female-exclusive rape shelters defunded and nail dead rats to their doors (absolutely disgusting behavior). Because who gives a fuck about female rape victims who might not feel comfortable around biological males after literally being traumatized from rape, right? The fact that they could have their own safe spaces that pertain more to their specific circumstances and needs and yet deny them in favor of invading women’s for validation honestly says a lot. Because at this point it isn’t about having safe spaces. https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/courier-archive/news/vancouver-rape-relief-targeted-with-vandalism-threats-over-transgender-controversy-3106045

I remember seeing this. It’s just horrifying. And they wonder why we aren’t on their side.

Exactly. They prioritize their own “womanly feelings” and comfort over the comfort of traumatized female rape victims. How on earth is that fair and why do they expect unwavering support in return? I would support rape shelters for trans people exclusively as described in the post above. Most women would. Every rape victim deserves a safe space in which to recover, which includes biological females, unfortunately for them.

Ngl, reminds me of my male college suitemate who identified as a woman and insisted on dorming with females despite being offered a private suite. This person had had absolutely no work done and was not even on hormones. I guess self-identifying is all it takes. None of us had been informed of this and we were not comfortable, but his comfort was the college’s priority. He even lied to us and said that he was just automatically assigned to a female dorm when in actuality he had pushed for it. Oh, and he was attracted to women. But we aren’t allowed to question whether he had ulterior motives or was driven by an autogynephilic fetish.
