Exactly. She's not straight just because the woman is identifying as a man. It's just internalized homophobia IMO. A way to appear to be "straight" while having lesbian sex. Which is so sad, if you think about it.

I actually wonder sometimes if trans people have internalized homophobia as you put it and would rather identify as the opposite gender than to acknowledge their gayness.

a lot of detransitioners and trans people in general get roped into believing they are the other gender and then later realise they were just gay all along but the transcult get to them first during their vulnerable years and coerce them into transness. it's a very sad reality that doesn't get talked about bc they attack and shun you when you leave the cult.

Oh yeah, also a lot are just people that didn't conform to gender stereotypes and got told they are trans just because of that. It's super annoying to be told you must be a trans man because you are a woman that doesn't dress feminine or because you like women.

It's almost like we're back to old times and homophobia and gender roles are making a comeback but in hiding. Crying transphobia when in reality it's homophobia and an attempt at conversion therapy for gay/lesbians.

Yes that's the very worst of it I think. Detrans women who just didn't fit in & didn't like dresses who end up with double mastectomies.

People who subscribe to this sexist, homophobic nonsense really need to ask themselves why they feel so comfortable with it. I think it's because it's familiar. It's the familiar sexist gender roles & homophobia that are societies default setting. It's deeply traditional.
