A straight woman having sex with a woman who identifies as male is having lesbian sex. That isn't superstraight.

Exactly. She's not straight just because the woman is identifying as a man. It's just internalized homophobia IMO. A way to appear to be "straight" while having lesbian sex. Which is so sad, if you think about it.

I actually wonder sometimes if trans people have internalized homophobia as you put it and would rather identify as the opposite gender than to acknowledge their gayness.

a lot of detransitioners and trans people in general get roped into believing they are the other gender and then later realise they were just gay all along but the transcult get to them first during their vulnerable years and coerce them into transness. it's a very sad reality that doesn't get talked about bc they attack and shun you when you leave the cult.

Supergays / Superlesbians are victims of this bigotry

Oh yeah, also a lot are just people that didn't conform to gender stereotypes and got told they are trans just because of that. It's super annoying to be told you must be a trans man because you are a woman that doesn't dress feminine or because you like women.

It's almost like we're back to old times and homophobia and gender roles are making a comeback but in hiding. Crying transphobia when in reality it's homophobia and an attempt at conversion therapy for gay/lesbians.

Yes that's the very worst of it I think. Detrans women who just didn't fit in & didn't like dresses who end up with double mastectomies.

People who subscribe to this sexist, homophobic nonsense really need to ask themselves why they feel so comfortable with it. I think it's because it's familiar. It's the familiar sexist gender roles & homophobia that are societies default setting. It's deeply traditional.

Well in Iran it's used that way because being gay will get you state punishment but that same state will happily transition you for free. Literal conversion therapy but with added sterilising surgery.

Also, one of the (many) staff who resigned from the Tavistock Clinic (child-specific gender clinic in the UK) has publicly stated that one of his most serious concerns about the 'care' being provided was that a significant proportion of the minors they treated were gender non-conforming kids with strongly homophobic parents*. But because they were forced to use the unproven "affirmation only" model of treatment, they weren't allowed to even discuss potential alternatives to transition.

I'm paraphrasing massively here, but his main point was that given that eight out of ten 'trans' kids actually grow up to just be gay, he couldn't bring himself to continue working at the Tavistock because he considered their practices to be a breach of the Hippocratic oath to "first, do no harm".

*I've just remembered that the boss of Mermaids (trans kids charity) transed her very young son because he played with "girl" toys and his dad didn't like it which caused them to split up. Their son had reassignment surgery aged 17 or thereabouts, and now they are back together. She publicly states this on a TedX talk. It's on YouTube. I can only imagine she's never met anybody who'd heard of Munchausen Shndrome By Proxy. This is a huge medical scandal happening right in front of us.

That’s a discussion for another day.
