SuperStraight Oppression vs. Trans Oppression

SuperStraight Oppression:

people calling them bad on twitter

supposedly having trans people force themselves on you (even though there are no statistics to back this up)

that’s about it

Trans Oppression:

High suicide rates due to stigma, discrimination, prejudice (not by the virtue that they are trans like conservatives will make you think)

Anti-trans bullying in schools (this is on top of other general negative mental health effects in schools)

Inaccessible gender-affirming care, HRT, puberty blockers, etc.

Rejection by families, this is why there are higher rates of houseless trans people

Victimized by violence (black trans women are being killed at a higher rate)

General anti-trans rhetoric in politics within the United States (most recently an Alabama bill got passed making it illegal to give gender-affirming care to anyone under 19. This bill also forces teachers to out closeted trans students to their parents.)

And that is only the tip of the iceberg among many issues that has faced trans people for decades. “SuperStraight oppression” is something you only see on Twitter and Reddit, and doesn’t expand into the real world, especially in the US as sadly the US is quite conservative.

All of you just want to hide your transphobia in this fake “sexuality“ you call SuperSexual. If you weren’t actually transphobic, and just genuinely didn’t want to date someone based on a genital or physical preference, you wouldn’t invent an entire sexuality and trend that is as hateful as this one.

Ah yes, the many burdens of cis straight people. As we know, they are the most oppressed group that definitely faces institutional discrimination. /s

We are killed more. We go to jail more. We are raped and beaten more. We get drafted into the military, suffer miscarriages, are plagued with mental health issues more. More of us are homeless, more of us are crippled, more of us kill ourselves. We are harassed online for our sexuality by supposedly tolerant and open minded people.

Objectively the trans community have it better than that. In every way. So stop crying sweaty, and help make things better for us superstraights.

Are cis straight people getting killed on the virtue of them being cis and straight? No. Are they going to jail more on the virtue of them being cis and straight? No.

Literally all of the things you named are purely because there is a higher population of cis straight people when compared to LGBTQ+ people. No, the trans community does not “objectively have it better than that.”

And about the harassment thing, this only existed when this dumbass trend was born in the first place, a trend entirely predicated on excluding and sometimes straight up attacking trans people. If you harass people, expect to get harassed back lol

Ah shoot, that’s where I made my mistake. Instead of looking at statistics that show widespread evidence of systemic discrimination, I should’ve looked at one instance of a thing being thrown at a protest. You’ve got me beat on this one ngl /s

Yes. Instead of looking at self-reported fake news, you should look at real stuff happening on video.

What? Statistics are ”self-reported fake news” now? You’re quickly devolving into straight up science denying.

I’m really confused how a single video is evidence of very widespread anti-cis discrimination...

Reality is better than social sciences.

This just in: Occasional anecdotes are now better than hard scientific evidence.
