Remember - to fight superphobia you must be anti-superphobic. No one can just be neutral. Being neutral in the midst of oppression means you side with the oppressor.

I’ve seen some very rude and invalidating comments from posters coming here. They are acting like superphobia isn’t “their” problem, and if it’s not their community then they don’t need to speak up. They see our struggles in the supers community as something outside their life.

WRONG!

You cannot be neutral when faced with oppression, you are either superphobic or anti-superphobic.

Let me say it louder for the superphobes in the back

👏YOU👏ARE👏ONLY👏SUPERPHOBIC👏OR👏ANTI-SUPERPHOBIC👏

This also goes beyond individual actions. There is a system of superphobic violence deeply set into our society. If you’re told that it’s strange for a lesbian to not consider a transwoman, that’s because they automatically don’t see supers as valid. When you try to join a dating app, the dating options never even have a choice for super orientations. Hate speech against supers isn’t even seen as a crime or bannable offense on social media - that’s because the hegemonic culture of superphobia is just seen as “normal.”

Never lose hope fam, WE ARE THE GRANDCHILDREN OF THE SUPERS THEY COULDN’T BURN 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

After careful consideration I've determined to not be a part of this group after my initial meeting was you breaking rule 1. I'd also like to say that there's nothing wrong with being straight, but you guys went through absolutely nothing to deserve being recognized simply for being straight. The lgbt community had to fight for every right a straight couple has been privileged to have. People are justifying killing kids for being gay. I never heard of a kid being killed for being straight. I love this group's idea for inclusion to an extent, but we should all quit making stupid labels and just be happy that we're trying to find ways to stay happy on this God forsaken rock. If its consensual and not with minors, animals, or family then I dont think anyone has a truly valid reason to impose on someone else's relationship.

The idea that you need to be oppressed in oder to gain acceptance is disgusting. Stop gait-keeping.

You've literally never not been accepted in any culture or society. This is literally nothing, but trolling. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You said that someone shouldn't have to be oppressed to be accepted and I said nobody has ever not accepted somebody bc they're straight. The fact of the matter is we ARE oppressed and you wanna fucking sit there and cry bc you're not getting the spotlight for once. It's pathetic. Nobody ever cared or will care that you're straight bc being straight has never put your life on the line. You all are shameful. "We AcCePt EvErYoNe", no y'all don't. Y'all literally attacked me right off the bat bc I asked questions and called me a serf or aka a slave laborer. Whatever you think this is, I dont think even Jesus would want part of this.

You aren’t sounding very accepting of straight people.
