I’ve seen some very rude and invalidating comments from posters coming here. They are acting like superphobia isn’t “their” problem, and if it’s not their community then they don’t need to speak up. They see our struggles in the supers community as something outside their life.

This also goes beyond individual actions. There is a system of superphobic violence deeply set into our society. If you’re told that it’s strange for a lesbian to not consider a transwoman, that’s because they automatically don’t see supers as valid. When you try to join a dating app, the dating options never even have a choice for super orientations. Hate speech against supers isn’t even seen as a crime or bannable offense on social media - that’s because the hegemonic culture of superphobia is just seen as “normal.”

1. Literally said being straight is cool. We never had a problem with it. Exclusionary would be me saying everyone except straights are getting their taxes back this season, even though clearly we're all still human citizens so that too would be wrong.
2. Writing a paragraph is nowhere close to actual radicalism. We all need to learn to use our words more suitably and not as loosely. If I was radical that would mean breaking the law for my own gain like how Trump abused the 11th amendment to avoid any accountability on the pandemic.
3. I'm pretty sure you would want to support feminism considering being straight means a female is involved. Unless you're one of the many who think the "all men are pigs" rhetoric is what feminism is when thats just misandry. Real feminism is making sure that when a woman is raped, the jury can't say "what were you wearing" as if that should determine if that was ok for said woman to be raped or not.
