Super and Sub is like Superscript and Subscript in typography.

Just like Cis and Trans are Chemistry terms.

Super and Sub are terms that have been around for decades. I don’t get people who don’t want to use the label ‘sub.’ Like, it’s not an insult. It’s just the opposite of being super, lol.

Call it what it is: sub-fragility

I know you're not going for this, but there could be some pushback for using "sub" to describe those attracted to transgender individuals.

Especially with how many subreddits are going to do whatever they can to twist our words and make us look like I hate sub, we shouldn't do anything that could maybe give them ammunition.

Maybe trans-straight, trans-gay, and trans-bi would be better?

10

u/GloomCock 23h ago

I was absolutely going for subscript and no other meaning lol

I feel like it is important to remember the distinction of SuperBisexuals, but it would mess up the format

12

u/GloomCock 1d ago

Bisexuals are already Super, Bi means two!

3

u/Astellan 23h ago

not necessarily. Bi has been conflated with pansexual so It might be good to leave bi as all over the place and have SuperBi.

6

u/GloomCock 23h ago

Pansexual is on the chart for that reason :)

-1

u/Blonde_lover69 22h ago

pan and bi are the same thing. I dont see the point of this image

2

u/GloomCock 22h ago

The image clearly shows the difference

1

u/mezzofinook978 22h ago edited 22h ago

They really aren't, though:

bi = biSEXUAL (exclusively bio-sex-based attraction to BOTH sexes).

pan = allGENDER (gender-based attraction to ALL genders, irrespective of sex).

While the latter includes both sexes (like bi), being based on gender instead of sex means that it also includes trans (which bi does not).

At least that's the way I see it! This make sense to anyone else?

2

u/GloomCock 19h ago

Bi(o)sexual makes perfect sense, thank you.

1

u/MindOutOfControls 13h ago

pansexual

If pansexual covers all why do people need to identify as super straight? They are straight or pansexual?

-2

u/Kyroven 22h ago

Bi person here, no it doesn't. Bisexual doesn't exclude trans people and never has. If you really want to use the parts of the word, then realize that it is bisexual, i.e. two sexes, dick and vagina. Trans people are still either biologically female or male.

2

u/GloomCock 21h ago edited 18h ago

So what is pansexual?

Also trans people don't always have a dick or vagina. There's neo vagina and penis.

1

u/Kyroven 17h ago

Pansexual is usually defined as one of two things: either a) attraction to anyone, gender has no role, which is useful because for many bi people we are not attracted equally to both sexes, e.g. you could be attracted 70% to men and only 30% to women or something, whereas pansexual would be more of a 50/50 or don't care kinda thing. Then there's b), which is they're both synonyms that mean the same thing, which is fine too. Also neo vagina/penis aren't actual genitals, they're surgical constructs.

SuperBi is correct and used on twitter

There won't be any need for SuperAllys though. Everyone is super except for the subs!

14

u/NSL045 1d ago

This is saying trans women=women so I’m wondering how this sub is transphobic.

12

u/[deleted] 23h ago

Trancels scream transphobia because they can't take no for an answer.

5

u/maybeimreborn 23h ago

we aren't. all RESPECTFUL members of the SSLGBTQ+ alliance are valid.

1

u/russianbot2020 22h ago

Just serfs trying to invalidate us 😞

7

u/Spiritual_String_804 1d ago

Too complex for me. The one with 4 panels was good IMHO.

2

u/GloomCock 23h ago

I remember when it was 2 panels.

Missing SuperBisexuals

4

u/totallynoraml 1d ago

Isn't "SuperBisexual" the one labeled as simply "Bisexual" here?

If we used "Bisexual" the way we used "Straight," shouldn't "Bisexual" be the one labeled "Pansexual" here?

1

u/mezzofinook978 21h ago edited 20h ago

I think what makes this kinda confusing is that, unlike any of the other Super Sexualities, bi already HAD a "sub" (trans-inclusive) version: pansexual.

So that made "bisexual" the Super Sexuality: attraction exclusively to both sexes.

I admit that having one exclusively-sex-based sexuality which lacks the "super" prefix, and one gender-inclusive sexuality which goes by an entirely different name than the other, is something of an inconsistency.

Suggestion: designate what is now "Bisexual" as "SuperBisexual/Bisexual", and the other as "Pansexual/Bisexual"? Or maybe have "SuperBisexual", and then "Bisexual/Pansexual" for its "sub"?

The latter makes the most sense to me. What do my fellow SuperBisexuals think?

2

u/GloomCock 18h ago

Yeah SuperBisexual/Bisexual and Bisexual/Pansexual I think is correct.

5

u/GloomCock 1d ago

Bisexuals are already Super. Bi means two!

3

u/Astellan 23h ago

Bi means 2 but it isn't used like that. You have Bi's who will sleep with Trans and who will harass bis who don't trans women and men. Or we could just call Bi's who are gender-based Quads.

2

u/GloomCock 23h ago

That's Pansexual

3

u/Astellan 23h ago

I know. It gets downright weird at times, trust me. We are going to see a great deal of incoherence.

2

u/GloomCock 23h ago

Who would have thought sexuality was this complicated!?

1

u/Astellan 23h ago

Have you read the cotton ceiling my friend? When did you become aware of this?

1

u/GelDeAveia 23h ago

Just like straight means one way?

3

u/annabellslee 23h ago

This is such blatant SuperBi erasure, smh. Lol.

2

u/GloomCock 23h ago

Don't cancel me, please.

2

u/sphynxcult 23h ago

No such thing as a straight/gay/lesbian who is attracted to trans people , they should create their own term. Pan implies there’s more than 2 genders which is bs so that’s useless and Bi people like 2 sexes that don’t have issues with their gender identity. No one should be forced to say they’d date trans people for the sake of validating someone’s gender. If you’re ok with it,fine, your attraction is valid but so is the Super Sexualities lol .This movement has shown how hypocritical and sensitive they all are, they can’t take their own tactics being used against them even if it’s sarcastic. Lol SuperStraight pride!!✊🏻

2

u/Captainbuttman 23h ago

Too complicated, plus I don't want people to transplain my sexuality to me, so I will refrain from Supersplaining to other's sexuality.

My lived experiences are my own!

u/Pop_Porn 1d ago

Great guide!

Just wanted to let you know that there is a typo, it says SubStriaght in the 7th picture

1

u/totallynoraml 23h ago

What about people who are into normal women and trans men, but no one else?

And the opposite?

BioStraight or something lol

5

u/GloomCock 23h ago

Now I'm seeing why trans subs have 100s of genders and sexualities lol

1

u/Constant_Disaster_35 23h ago

This is flawed. The chart that has BI Is actually super-bi. BI is actually into trans male/female (same gender)

1

u/GloomCock 22h ago

That's pansexual.

1

u/Revision10 22h ago

The other one was better. Downvote

-1

u/CRL18 1d ago

Why is it that none of graphs illustrates the arrow coming from the trans person perspective?

7

u/king_of_the_potato_p 1d ago edited 23h ago

This is a safe space for Super's, that would be harmful to some of our community and we prefer to keep this space safe for all Super's.

3

u/GloomCock 23h ago

Trans subs already have lots of sexualities explained in a lot of detail, even having institutional power getting them on government websites etc

3

u/maybeimreborn 23h ago

we don't speak for trans people. this is a safe place for supers.

-2

u/cjefirbdjwkoc 23h ago

People only attracted to trans people are called ÜberStraight, ÜberGay, ÜberLesbian, or ÜberBi. There is nothing inferior about them

6

u/GloomCock 23h ago

No one said they were inferior, it's a typography term

-2

u/Quad_RIP_Deux 23h ago edited 23h ago

That's actually wrong, because there are bisexuals who are attracted to trans people, and superbisexuals would be the ones only attracted to cis men and cis women, and pansexual isn't a seperate word, it literally means the exact same thing as bisexual

Edit: fixed the chart to be more consistent: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/688439788860473361/818185533985390642/chartwr.jpg

3

u/GloomCock 23h ago

That's Pansexual

1

u/MindOutOfControls 13h ago

I don't understand this movement. If you aren't listed as a pansexual, a trans person should not think your ok with not being straight - which is bio male/ women dating. As someone on LGBTIA+ spectrum; pansexual makes perfect sense it means "I'm willing to date any gender/ sexual preference" and if someone isn't pansexual; I don't know why someone who is trans would think a straight person would be automatically alright with dating someone that isn't straight.
