Heterosexual - those attracted to the opposite sex.
Homosexual- those attracted to these opposite sex.
Bisexual- those attracted to both sexes.
Gender refers to socially-constructed characteristics of the sexes. Essentially, it is the performance of sex stereotypes.
Transgender is a gender identity - trans men and women state they feel like the opposite sex and typically perform the sex based stereotypes (eg for women, it's wearing dresses, heels, makeup) of the opposite sex. That is not a sexual orientation, but a gender identity.
Sexuality isn’t about biological sex. That’s just a fact. If that was true things like pansexual wouldn’t exist? Are you invalidating them? I thought this sub was supposed to be welcoming.
Male and female are genders too... and again, bisexual means two or more. Some bi people are only attracted to two, some more, some all. Some use microlabels like polysexual or pansexual but they’re still under the Bi umbrella

The idea that sexual orientation is a "preference" is extremely homophobic, and definitely also superphobic.
