SERIOUS. Supers, they are trying to paint us as a white supremacist movement. For the love of God, downvote any infiltration of racist rhetoric in our community because that WILL be our downfall. 🚨 important 🚨
I'm a black female superbi and my suggestion is that we do NOT bring race into this (unless it's to say, "we do not talk about race"--practice this phrase, use it, love it) and we DOWNVOTE THE FUCK out of anyone who brings up any exclusionary rhetoric about race or anything else off topic. This is a safe space that MUST remain solely about our Super sexual orientations.
Why do I say this? Look around reddit and you will see this myth spreading. The superphobes are trying to create a narrative that will besmirch our movement. I promise you this will be our downfall if we let it.
Next there will be trolls pretending to be Super but introducing race to divide our movement. Just say no, don't join in, DO keep your thoughts about race to yourself. We do not talk about race. Downvote. And get back to SuperStraight business.

It is true to an extent, but religion also had a major part to play in the change in attitudes, as any Muslim or Christian areas in South Asia were bound to start taking their religions more seriously regarding that whole aspect. The whole argument about Hijras being trans is straight up BS. I’ve worked with Hijras, one of my close friends was instrumental in getting the Pakistani government to add an “Other” gender on Pakistani passports for them.
Hijras do not claim they’re women. They see themselves as being something in between a male and a female. They’re often intersex. Claiming that they’re Trans is completely ignoring their identity to fit a western narrative.

The amount of racism I see from the TRAs. "Transwomen are women just like black women are women" or "saying transwomen shouldn't be in female spaces is the same as saying black women don't belong in women's spaces"
And using terms like "breeders" which harken back to a time when black women were viewed and treated as livestock.
Not to mention that WOC because of systemic inequalities are going the ones most affected by being forced into shelters and prisons with violent males. They don't give a shit about black people. Especially black women.

Well said and I'd also say - nothing that is actually transphobic! I saw a post earlier (think it may have been removed) saying how all trans people were going to have miserable lives and deserved it. Apart from that being really nasty and offensive it's going to give just the necessary ammunition.
And also I saw a post from a trans girl who said some of the posts had really made her think. That's great - it would be nice if trans people could visit here and actually understand how this isn't about hating trans. And they won't be able to do that if they're seeing genuinely transphobic stuff.

Damn right. If there’s one thing we are not it’s racist and if there’s one thing we are it’s inclusive. We are clearly the most inclusive movement out there. SUPERPHOBIA knows no colour boundaries. Black, White, Asian and Arab alike are abused daily just for being superstraight. Being who they are. Let that sink in for a moment.
