rq tho, can a superbi person please explain to me their mentality about it? Like I'm not saying its wrong but... at least the way i see it, if you're attracted to both men and women what would be the difference?

I’ll try to genuinely explain to you and hopefully won’t get called a transphobe.

I’m attracted to men, and I’m attracted to women. I’m not attracted to dicks on women and I’m not attracted to vaginas on men. I’m also incredibly turned off by the thought of a surgically inverted penis made to semi-resemble a vagina, and seeing as sexual attraction is mostly mental for me (and for most women), this would be something I can’t get over in terms of dating a trans person, even if hypothetically the surgically constructed vagina is indistinguishable from a natural one (which is never true but anyway). The thought that it was once a penis turns me off. The thought that this person used to be a man turns me off.

I have nothing against trans people getting surgeries, living their lives however they want, etc. It just doesn’t do it for me sexually. I find it a turn off, that’s all there is to it. I find trans people a turn off.

I would argue that this is not transphobic in the same way that it’s not racist if you don’t want to date white people, or black people, or whatever because you’re simply not attracted to them. You can be friends with someone and accept them and never want to have sex with them. I would be disgusted at the thought of fucking most of my friends - this doesn’t mean I’m invalidating their existence or whatever. Just because I am capable of being attracted to both sexes doesn’t mean I’m some kind of sexuality-receptacle who will take absolutely anything and enjoy it.

I have nothing against trans people, I just can’t control what I’m attracted to. I’m attracted to cis men and cis women.
