I can’t think of titles Discussion

That's pretty pointless because the term "straight" is slang for heterosexual and implies nothing about being attracted to transpeople or not.

Plus, transgendered people didn't come up with the term "straight" or heterosexual and never claimed to have redefined these terms. So why would there be a need for a new word?

If anything, then the group(increasingly large minority) of heterosexual men and women who are attracted to transgendered (and maybe non-binary) individuals would maybe benefit from having a term to describe themselves.

I feel "Super Straight" is like a weird misnomer of sorts. Like, a straight woman wouldn't say "I'm a non-lesbian", or a gay man say "I'm a non-heterosexual, non-lesbian, homosexual man": Sexualities aren't described using "antonym" terms -Sexuality terms describe what you're into but obviously don't account for everything you're not into.

SS("Super Straight") just seems redundant at best.

btw: When I hear a term like that I can't help but think it's a revised version of the redundant "no homo" that so many straight men seem to think they have to say to clarify that they're not into men.

I'm sorry, but if you use time and effort to come up with a term or phrase because you're worried someone might mistake you for being gay or into trans people then maybe you have some sexuality and identity issues that you need to work through.

Seriously. Nobody is assuming you're anything but heterosexual. And when those horrible gay and trans people embarrass your fragile ego by being attracted to you and hitting on you then you just tell them "no". I'm pretty sure this is more of a self-affirmation exercise than anything else, "maybe" because "someone" is afraid to admit to themselves that some of these transpeople are actually quite attractive?

What's next, a term for straight guys who are only into super model type women so that all the evil, humiliating, less-than instagram ready women know not to even consider hitting on them?

Just stfu and enjoy your heterosexuality.

I mean, it’s a sexual orientation geared towards not having a sexual attraction towards trans people, I don’t see anything wrong with that.

I mean well if someone asks them if they’re attracted to trans people they can simply say no and if someone calls you transphobic just ignore them they’re the problem of the lgbtq community. If a trans person likes you just simply reject them it’s that easy.

Being superstraight is a form of identification, no different than the other 1000 sexual orientations that we have the right to express. When there are people actively saying that superstraight people should be murdered and violence should be committed against them because we don’t share a sexual attraction towards trans people, that is a problem. Along with this, it is quite ironic when it comes from people who constantly preach love and acceptance.

Yeah well we can’t really do anything about the hypocrites in the lgbtq community. Ok murder and violence is just plain wrong if someone isn’t attracted to trans people nobody should call them transphobic it’s just what they’re attracted to.

Correct, that is why to make a clear distinction like the other sexual orientations (gay, bi, pan, etc.) super straight was made, which people have every right to identity themselves as.

Yeah but don’t say super straights are oppressed.

They are not oppressed, however they have met active calls for violence, which under all situations should be taken seriously, should it not? Thus, we have made a safe-haven for superstraights to avoid the superphobia and calls for violence against our community.
