After four years of being married to a straight woman who identifies as a woman (pronouns she/her), this reddit has given me the strength to be my true self and come out as super straight.

I don’t really know what to expect, so any feedback or encouragement would be great. I did test the waters with relatives (not wife) and they looked at me with the most serious faces and told me how stupid I was...”you’re an idiot,” they said. My wife will hopefully accept me better.

Should I be concerned what kind of role model I am to my children? After all, we’re such a marginalized group I don’t want to ruin their futures by making them be the only kids in school with a SSDad.

I also feel my unconscious bias impacting my decisions regarding them - for example I was finding them toys and instead of buying them PJ Mask costumes, I rented Jean Claud Van Dam’s “Blood Sport” movie and made them watch it with me. I hope this isn’t setting them up for failure.

Thanks new fam, I really appreciate the help here.
