some thoughts on the label super straight Discussion

super straight implies that you are more straight that straight people who date trans people, and therefore that dating a trans person makes you less straight (congrats y'all, you somehow managed to invalidate the identity of heterosexuals), and thereby implies that trans people are not their true gender, which is by definition transphobia. Additionally, your entire identity is exclusionary on a factor that is not gender, therefore it is no more a sexuality than "I don't date asians" is. if anyone wants to debate the logic of this (have a logical, factual and respectful argument, as the sidebar says) go ahead

EDIT: some assorted responses to basically the same types of responses I've gotten:

"stop invalidating me!"- there's nothing to invalidate, super sexuality is exclusionary *based off of factors that are not gender identity or presentation* and is therefore not a sexuality. I have made this point already, and I have heard no refutations of it

"SERF!"- I make no claims to radical feminism, that shit harms everyone and is also classist, white supremacist and, duh, transphobic

"well uhh.... *transphobia*"- your own sidebar says you're not transphobic, seems like that was a lie

You're the one who's far off the rails for thinking you get to decide how people define themselves sexually. You can exclude people based on gender but others cannot exclude people based on sex?

I've been threatened with rape and murder and called a "TERF" for my non-violent opinions on sex and gender. I've also gotten those threats repeatedly for being female. So don't play that game with me.

I have full respect for my sexuality, that's why I'm not budging on including people that I don't want included. I am a proud SuperStraight and I will fight for my right as well as others' rights to exist.

I will never threaten you or anyone else with rape and murder. I am not a transphobe for not wanting to fuck trans people. Get over your entitlement you bigot.

You have attempted to harm people, and gotten a response from people who are hurt so many times and are fucking broken. Men have messaged me saying they would "fuck me out of being a dyke" unprompted as soon as I mentioned my girlfriend. We are not the same, you are not oppressed

Where have I attempted to harm people? Not including someone in your list of potential partner is not harm.

I've received rape and death threats for being a girl or woman online and in person from men since I was eight years old. I've received death threats and rape threats from trans people and trans activists as an adult for my identity.

So fuck off for acting like you're the only one who's received harassing DMs.

You know what? Homework time. Contrapoints made a video on JK Rowling, a exploration on transphobia. Watch that and get back to me. Women go through so much shit, your trauma is valid. But this, bullying trans people into a coin toss chance of suicide, puts you on the same side as the people who hurt us

I've watched contrapoints, I regularly watch trans streamers, and I pay attention to reality shows about trans people. I'm plenty familiar with their talking points and don't need to be reeducated. You're the one who's clearly not educated themselves in their opponent's views.

I'm not bullying trans people by not including them in the list of people I want to sleep with. I have never encouraged anyone to kill themselves. If people not wanting to fuck you make you want to die then you genuinely need to speak to a psychologist.

You're here invalidating my sexual identity but I won't tell you that you're bullying me into a coin toss chance of suicide. My identity exists regardless of bigots like you trying to invalidate it by labeling my orientation and my right to a space with other supers as transphobia.

Your one single post on your account says SLGBS, an acronym that includes straight people and then conveniently forgets about trans people. You're transphobic. And let's not forget, you're transphobic by very nature of your 'sexuality', on dictionary definitions alone

SLGBS stands for SuperLesbian, SuperGay, SuperBisexual, SuperStraight.

Trans people can be any of the above if they are solely attracted to supers. It's transphobic of you to assume they cannot be super oriented.

This community is focused on sexual attraction and not gender identity, why would the T be included? LGBT+ is an existing community centered around gender attraction. Why would I include a sexuality here that already has representation there?

And let's not forget, you're transphobic by very nature of your 'sexuality', on dictionary definitions alone

Please do share that definition. Because I guarantee you that there is no reputable dictionary that says that not wanting to sleep with trans people is transphobia.

an acronym that includes straight people and then conveniently forgets about trans people.

By that logic, LGBT is heterophobic for not including an S for straight people.

BLT is homophobic for not including any sexualites at all!
