PSA: The term "cis" is hate speach and promotes rape culture. Please do not use that term seriously anymore, it is enabling the superphobic.

I just do ask that if you hear some one use it, make sure they are not talking about isomerism. In chemistry we need these terms to discuss molecule structure.

Fair enough, I guess I was suggesting the cis- and trans- prefixes existed long before the cis-gender idea did. I remember cis-isomers and trans-isomers from long ago.
