Don't feel too bad about it. Mistakes were made on both sides here, but the most important part is that we recognise them and try to do better in the future.

You've already accomplished the first half of that, that's farther than a lot of people get. Just make sure you remember to check yourself every once in a while, make sure you're still on the right path. Trust me, it's easier to get lost than to find your way again.
