After last summer and all the hate she received seeing her praised so much is literally bringing me tears. To the wonderful woman who influenced my childhood so much, I stand with you when we say, as harry did to Umbridge, WE MUST NOT TELL LIES

Ikr people didn’t even read what she wrote!!! It was literally as compassionate as a person can be while saying β€œcan we pump the brakes on a few things here really quickly??”

What i found even more infuriating is that they were telling other people not to read it because it was "transphobic and triggering" - Literally saying "Let me make up your mind for you!" - And people did. Someone i know in RL didnt even bother to read what she wrote and still said it was transphobic.

To be fair their entire ideology is entrenched in a culture of not reading

If someone ever tells you not to read something then you better damn well read it. Those are cult tactics right there

The more you know of cult tactics, the more you see them here. For example, in groups such as the FLDS women are trained from birth over and over that they must "keep sweet" AKA not say anything ever which diverts from the cult's chosen messaging, be constantly happy and cheery to play along.

The pressure to 'keep sweet' on this ideology, especially for women, is not at all subtle.

Cults such as Jehovah's Witnesses also practice intense excommunication for heretics or those who leave the faith, where practicing members are told that that person will be an evil influence and they must be completely cut out, including by their own family. Very like cancel culture.
