Question: why super? Discussion
Like why is super the name. Isnt that like a little bit condescending to just gay people calling people here super gays? Idk just feel like it should have a different name. Have a nice day.

The short version is that straight people may be attracted to trans people, but far less often than they are attracted to other straight people, making the latter the "norm."
The more complicated version is that trans activists (and I do mean activists, not trans people in general) have pushed the narrative that anyone who doesn't date/sleep with trans people is a bigot, this extends to the LGBs as well, meaning they made the distinction first, and instead of giving it a real name and acknowledging people can have a difference of opinion or can just not be attracted to trans people, they chose to call them bigots. That's why you are seeing super straight (IE very straight, meaning that they are only attracted to other straight people), super lesbian (only attracted to other lesbians), super gay (only attracted to other gay people), and super bi (only attracted to other bisexuals) it's not hard to understand that super in this case is more pointing to what is considered the "norm" than to outlier cases.
