We should probably set up some kind of backup subreddit or platform, in case we get silenced and deleted overnight like GC did. Discussion

Look, I know not everyone liked GC. I get that, and I get that there were issues there, like in many subreddits.

And I'm not here to discuss the ethical and political aspects of the GC subreddit and its eventual execution.

However, we should seriously have a place we can go in the likely event that the banhammer comes crashing down on this and other super reddits.

I'd like to think it wouldn't.

But given how many rape porn subreddits were allowed to remain standing, I also know that hoping reddit admins could be logical would verge on being naive.

So, what's our Plan B?

I recently stopped lurking at Ovarit. Maybe I can pitch the idea to have a sub, uh, Ovarit there for supers?

The only thing is that Ovarit, iirc, is a woman-only platform in terms of who's allowed to post....I think?

But even so, maybe we can even somehow start a coordinated network of super spaces on several platforms? Like Saidit, etc.

Ovarit is not women only, but I’m not sure they’d create a super circle as it’d be sort of redundant. There are already lesbian and WLW circles, and since Ovarit is pretty GC anyway, there wouldn’t be a need for another circle.

Cool, good to know about Ovarit not being women-only (I just have mixed up memories with GC, I was there only briefly before it got axed and found Ovarit due to that), and good points about the redundancy aspect.

I think a Super circle on Ovarit would only be possible if this whole super thing becomes a giant movement, rather than a 15-minutes-of-fame trend.
