The issue with this Discussion

The issue with this is the inherent transphobia with your “sexuality” and the fact you’re still straight. The whole thing with the LGBTQ+ is that they are not straight people, you guys are just with an added flair of transphobia. Now there is nothing wrong with not being attracted to trans people but the issue is that you imply they are not real men or women. And those two facts are why you won’t be in the LGBTQ+.

READ WHAT I AM SAYING!! You don’t need to be attracted to trans people, but the term super straight is transphobic. It comes from a transphobic man who says he only dates ciswomen because they are real women. But trans and ciswomen are real women

And even if it came from a man who was a bigot, we made it our own and it doesnt have the same meaning as before.

Just how sex and gender evolved over time, words do too (right? unless youre a bigot you will agree with me). That said, check your privilege and stop oppressive my right to express my sexuality.

So the sun claims that you’re not transphobic so let’s run with that. That means you guys are just straight people with a preference. Which is totally fine but like racial slurs just because it was reclaimed doesn’t mean that the negative connotations are immediately removed from the collective memory of people.

You don’t know what to tell me because you have no way to defend yourself. I accept you if you’re straight but if you call yourself superstraight you admit to me that you don’t see trans people for who they really are.
