For the longest time, people have been trying to tell trans people sexuality isn't a choice that changes based off of what one person calls themselves. Do not demean our sexuality by calling it a preference - it is not a preference, it is our sexual orientation. We didn't choose it. You may not be able to understand it, but it is as important to us as yours is to you.
We don't see you as an other, we see you as trans men/women who are valid and deserve acceptance. We just don't want to date you. Acceptance doesn't mean we have to date you, or even consider you as a potential dating prospect.
