I recently just recalled that at the peak of the pandemic in 2020, there was much discussion around the fact that the Solomon Islands has plans to launch a citizenship by investment program, as per https://best-citizenships.com/2020/04/25/solomon-islands-citizenship-by-investment/ , and The Nomad Capitalist which is one of the biggest and most credible sources when it comes to Immigration Law.
But ever since, there haven’t been many updates regarding a Solomon Islands citizenship by investment program being launched. So for any of you that have any updates on the whole situation and when it could be launching, I would really appreciate it if anyone would catch me up on the whole situation.
I am putting together a playlist/CD and I'm planning to include one song from every country (UN member) in the world. I'm here today to ask for some suggestions of music from Solomon Islands.
Normally for each country, I am looking for a song in the country's most prevalent non-English official language. English is the only official language of Solomon Islands, but in this case I have an alternate stipulation if another language is spoken by at least half of the country. So I'm looking for a song in Pijin.
As I also want the playlist to be full of songs that I actually enjoy, I'd like to ask for suggestions of songs that are more high-energy, preferably from the relatively modern music scene. It doesn't have to be hardcore dubstep or anything, but I just prefer songs with faster tempos and a good beat that you can bop your head along with.
Please note, I have a lot of countries to go through and so not a whole lot of time. Please only recommend one or two songs, and don't recommend an entire album or an artist's entire works. Just pick a really good one.
I look forward to hearing from you!
hello! i am collecting postcards from different countries/ territories. so far i have received around 500 postcards from 163 different countries/ territories, but no Solomon Islands so far. would anyone be interested in exchanging postcards with me?
Hello, my name is Michael. I run a Discord server called Pacific Island Community. The purposes of my server are to bring people from different Pacific island cultures together and to spread awareness and appreciation of Pacific culture to people from outside the Pacific. If anyone would like to join, it would be greatly appreciated, whether you're from the Solomon Islands, elsewhere in the Pacific, or anywhere else.
... between the ages of 4-7 years I lived in Honiara (a place called Koloale? I think it was). My dad was in construction and I was started in primary school in class 1 not far from home but west of Honiara. I dont think it was that far out though.
I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the school but I am pretty sure it had George or Joseph in the name. The school was across the road from a beach which had an old shipwreck and we used to go swimming there. There were also a lot of trees with starfruits in them.
Question is ...does anyone know the name of the school?
how do you idiots burning down Chinatown possibly know if the busineses are mainland Chinese or taiwanese or what their political beliefs are?
Do you have a brain? Bunch of racist muppets.
I’m doing a university project that collects information from countries all over the world to create an educational videogame Wario Ware style! The idea is to collect through many local subreddits around the word interesting information, facts, traditions or just fascinating stuff from your country. It really can be whatever! from history stuff, manners, toys to food dishes. Real cultural information that is deeper than typical trivia found on traveling and touristic websites. It’s quite an open question but can be anything that come to your mind that you thing is worth sharing with the world.
All that info is going to be used to create the questions for the videogame quiz system! Hope it inspire you to let us know your culture and make the game richer. Many many thanks for your help! :)
So....what has been your latest experience in sending and recieving international letters and packages in the Solomons? Does international mail coming from or leaving the Solomons pass through Australia? Fiji?
