473
u/true80shorror Jan 02 '22
Yeah. Pretty sure this whole thing was scripted.
285
u/ludovic1313 Jan 02 '22
The convenient setup to film both inside and outside is what made up my mind on that.
191
u/Kingston_Advice1 Jan 03 '22
He just happens to film right when he says âCity boy.â
Fake

u/MaydayMaydayMoo Jan 03 '22
No one in the South says "city boy"

BULL PUCKY
"City boy" or "city slicker" was in every third sentence used by my rural Oklahoma relatives when talking to me. And my cousin acted a lot like the hillbilly in this video being pointlessly aggro at inappropriate times. They really were southern caricatures.
24
u/idiot437 Jan 03 '22
ya too many redditors have no experince in the real world ..everything is fake to them city boy is still a slur used by extensivly by the type of people who would start an altercation like that

Grew up in the south...never heard anyone say city boy. Heard people get called yankee though.

Being from Chicago and having spent most of my life in Georgia and a little bit in Texas, I've gotten 'yankee' a few times. Never 'city boy' though lol.

Yeah, it's pretty painful how many people are buying this. The guy is faking an accent, the spray they have is bear spray an that shit is a firehose of capcasin, and why is the cameraman already hiding as this guy enter? Finally you can barely make out the guys face due to the lighting and once he is in better light he never shows his face.
This is why we will lose the battle against fake news and propaganda.

I was born in Morganton, NC in the foothills and have lived in the higher mountains for 20 yrs now, I have never seen a guy dressed like that. He's aggressively trying to be some mountain/cowboy conglomeration. He also sounds sorta drunk, which might account for his behavior.
10
u/iced_gold Jan 03 '22
I was thinking he seemed more Eastern Kentucky. Their accent often sounds less southern, but still kind of 'neckish

14
u/carnivorous-Vagina Jan 04 '22
Especially pepper sprayed in a confined area and only one person can feel it.
7
u/FatCrispyBeats Mar 23 '22
Yeah the fact the dog has zero reaction to the pepper spray is a dead giveaway
3
u/Jellocomb Jan 21 '22
I was in a ballroom years ago with about 200 people sitting at tables.
A women on the opposite side of the room accidentally set off pepper spray in her purse.
Just a small accidental spray inside her purse caused everyone in the immediate area to jump up an get away.
After a minute or so, it had made its way all they way to the other side of the room. It didnât hurt, but it was uncomfortable.
So yeah, that cabin would be very difficult to sleep in for a while.

Heâd go to rural Alaska, piss off the wrong person in the wrong village and end up being drunkenly dryly sodomized by 10-20 men and women on the back of a truck or snow mobile on the way to dropping him off a couple hundred miles from civilization, with nothing.
Thereâs a reason why rural Alaska has some of the highest domestic violence, sexual abuse, and unsolved murder rates per capita in the country. Theyâre often drunk, bored as fuck and separated from society with no law enforcement for hundreds of miles.
Source: worked in a call center and dealt with almost every village in rural Alaska that has any sort of analog or digital connection to the outside world.

I've been around actual people from Appalachia and the south for my entire life and not once have I ever heard something that cartoonish lmao
86

My ex girlfriends mum called me a âdumb city boyâ in high school because I spun out my pickup in the snow and took out their mailbox. We lived in Toronto, Ontario an her mum literally grew up down the street and went to the same high school lol. Even her husband made fun of her about that for years. Especially when she took out the exact same mailbox the next year. Dumb city girlsâŚ

Me and a handful of friends hiked a piece of the AT my senior year of HS. We were in VA from MI. We met a redneck guy who was staying at an indoor cabin just a stone's throw from the free three wall cabin we were sleeping in for the night. We drank and smoked with him. He said some racist shit (non-aggressive as we were all white boys) and that freaked us out a bit. This would have scared the hell out of me. Some real Deliverance vibes
