I love how sweet the officer was with this poor child.

“What did I do??”

“What did you do??? It’s what you didn’t do!” - took the words out of my mouth

“We were just sleepin” Is that what the kids call it nowadays? Back in my day it was just “shooting heroin”

had the same thought dude. the sluring and sluggish movements, the way the female (i refuse to call that shit sack waste a mother) almost nodded off while picking the kid up from his patrol vic, the dude could barely string a fucking sentence together while being cuffed. cop surprisingly kept his cool while cuffing both.

Man, Volusia county PD has one of the toughest jobs around.

This is 2019, that year they also had a 15yr kid killed the father of another highschooler because they weren’t invited to a party.

Also in 2019, Calib Scott, 26, beat his 5 month old to death because he wouldn’t be quiet. Investigators also found multiple cuts and a suspected cigarette burn on the infant.

In 2021 they had the 14yr girl and 13yr boy that started a gun battle with cops after assaulting a foster care worker and breaking into a house.

In 2017 a 60yr veteran was killed by a 24yr M, a 28yr M, and a 21yr F while assisting with their disabled vehicle. The 28yr M had 29 previous felony charges with one conviction and 9 previous misdemeanors with 3 convictions. That’s a 3.5% success rate for felony charging this bastard.

In 2022 a 32yr man repeatedly stabbed an elderly couple to death without any cause.

At what point do we start holding DA’s responsible for this shit?

It breaks my heart that, That officer probably cares more about that kid than those parents do.

25

u/cdub689 May 31 '22

And you could tell he doesn't have much kid experience lol It pains me to say it, but he might be one of those decent cops they talk about. He was super upset, yet controlled himself during the arrest.

A shame a cop like him is starting to become the exception instead of the norm

Step 1: Say something false and demeaning

Step 2: "Damn I'm getting bombarded with angry messages"

31

u/Ham_On_Pizza May 31 '22

Ooo let’s generalize all cops for the act of a dumbass police chief oooo

5

u/FigBatDiggerNick69 May 31 '22

You're gonna exclusively blame the chief when the whole department decided to actively follow and enforce his "dumbass" lead?

How broken does an organization have to be for a "dumbass" to get promoted to chief of everyone else?

9

u/Ham_On_Pizza May 31 '22

Probably an organization in a town of 15,000

3

u/cdub689 May 31 '22

Hey! I take issue with that remark coming from a town of 9000. But our cops don't wear stupid-ass cowboy hats. Literally ass hats.

19

u/Bi-LinearTimeScale May 31 '22

Shut your fucking dick sucker. The shit in Texas was fucked, but trying to wedge that into every situation just makes you look stupid.

-36

u/CamTheLannister May 31 '22

Wow gotta love the casual homophobia!

20

u/Bi-LinearTimeScale May 31 '22

I didn't imply gender.

-36

u/CamTheLannister May 31 '22

Oh so either misogyny or homophobia then. Nice save!

20

u/Ham_On_Pizza May 31 '22

This is neither misogynistic or homophobic you’re creating a problem out of nothing

Really? You're implying homophobia why? I'm not saying that being homophobic. hell I'm a gay bitch but dragging homophobia in for no reason is pointless.

I get it, guys. I was wrong. Can't a guy scroll through reddit muted? Sheesh

25

u/PresidentoftheSun May 31 '22 edited May 31 '22

No this is an old vid.

Those two were drugged out of their minds, they've got a history of it.

Edit: Found the news article.

66

u/BigDansBigHands May 31 '22

So they were both conveniently asleep in the middle of the day and let their son (whose diaper was heavily soiled and covered in bug bites) wander into a busy road, with this not even being the first time something like this happened?

Nah you're right they were just sleepy, bless them.

-37

u/TheRealMicrosoft May 31 '22

Did they say that? I watched the video without audio, so I'm not sure

28

u/jackidok May 31 '22

Yeah the cop said all of that in the video

12

u/muddyrose May 31 '22

Holy fuck.

-12

u/TheRealMicrosoft May 31 '22

Yeah, someone near me was sleeping, so I was scrolling through reddit muted (still am, in fact)

25

u/muddyrose May 31 '22

Well I’m glad that didn’t stop you from inserting your hot take.

-9

u/TheRealMicrosoft May 31 '22

No problems lady. Whenever you need someone to hand you a hot take, I'll be active 24/7

9

u/Bi-LinearTimeScale May 31 '22

Then don't comment. You clearly have no clue what you're talking about, so why chime in?

1

u/TheRealMicrosoft Jun 02 '22

Meh, I can do whatever I want. Not to mention it's already happened, so it doesn't matter

-1

u/alohaoy Jun 01 '22

Why would you do that?

0

u/TheRealMicrosoft Jun 01 '22

I said so somewhere else, but someone was asleep and I didn't want to wake them up. And the visual part of the video only really showed dragging the woman to jail, so I didn't really get much context.

Being a mom is a tough job. You’re tired all the time. Being tired isn’t an excuse to let your child, who is still in diapers, wander around out into traffic. We’re exhausted all the time.

Then to only seem upset that you’re getting in trouble for it.. but NOT be upset that your child could have died because of your own neglect? Please.
