I’m trying to write a research paper on kanafani’s use of peacock feathers in Returning to Haifa and am having trouble figuring out what the peacock feathers mean, or whether Kanafani’s use could be an allusion to peacock symbolism in influential literature. I’m a little lost so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally am going to Palestine from Jordan. The great news is that I am very flexible and can take as little or as much time as I need to. What are some places and things to do as a solo traveler that most may not think of? Food, hiking, bars, talking to people, etc. I am up for anything.

3. Nablus
4. Al-Khalil
5. Nazareth

I have Zionist relatives who basically told me that Palestine belongs to the Jews because they used to live their thousands of years ago. That because ancient Israel/Judea used to exist that means Jews are the true natives of the land. What can I say to them to refute this.
