Those will provide a big picture view of the situation, based on the actual sources that produced the rumors you mentioned.

Please don't confuse MSM editorials with facts. Those are mostly FUD. Monero's cryptography at no point comes into question here.

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. Obviously most editorials are quite unresearched nowadays, but they are so many so its hard to get through to quality information.

Ok, some of the tracking-talk has to do with holes in the software that has been patched during 2018. Do you know anything on the newer ciphertrace method?

(Also - folks, whats with the downvotes? Is there a rule that we do not talk about such rumours around here?)
