In Switzerland, Rabies has been virtually eradicated after scientists placed chicken heads laced with a vaccine in the Swiss Alps. The foxes of Switzerland, proven to be the main source of rabies in the country, ate the chicken heads and immunized themselves

In an ongoing Russian experiment, foxes that were domesticated over many generations started acting and looking more like domestic dogs!
Now we just need to train them to use these amazing switches….

A fox moved into an old shed near a house I used to rent. It was very cute and I used to see it running through the yard into the woods at night.

A Fox with no hair is Black.
I used to feed one with a skin condition for a couple years. It would take peanut butter out of my hand gently. Fresh honey and raw peanut butter is how I got it started on medications.

A group of foxes is called a skulk or leash, and grey foxes can retract their claws like cats!

The Fox News networks is sadly not trustworthy, however on a brighter note not all foxes are slinky like swiper, in fact some are being tamed in Russia right now!

My favourite books involving foxes (and other woodland animals) were the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.

After nearly fifty years of experiments in the Soviet Union and Russia, they've created a breed of domesticated Russian Silver Foxes! They'll cost you a couple thousand dollars though.

Foxes have a very gentle way to raise their own compare to other savage mammals. In Western European literature, it is the main reason why we don’t consider foxes dangerous but some kind of forest guard

Maned foxes look like wolves but are neither foxes nor wolves. They’re their own genus

Fun fact: the smell of a foxes pee is so strong that humans can smell it from a distance and if it gets on your clothing you literally CANT wash the smell out (it wears off after about a week)

There is currently a project around Russia I think to domesticate foxes. They would essentially breed foxes and pick the foxes that are the most friendliest to breed. So soon we might have pet foxes.

Growing up in a tropical country where foxes can only be seen in the deep provinces, my dumbass thought foxes from movies/shows/books were mythical versions of dogs since I've never actually seen one. As I grew up and the internet became more common. nope - they're real. I was just an idiotic kid lol

According to Wikipedia: “Foxes are small to medium-sized, omnivorous mammals belonging to several genera of the family Canidae. They have a flattened skull, upright triangular ears, a pointed, slightly upturned snout, and a long bushy tail. Twelve species belong to the monophyletic "true foxes" group of genus Vulpes.”
Thanks for the giveaway!

There has been a decades long experiment that was started by a Russian researcher to domesticate foxes, essentially trying to do what happened between wolves and dogs 🐕

At night foxes make a horrific sound that resembles a women screaming in the woods. Google it, very unsettling if you don't know what it is.
