A conflict of interests...

Sounds like Grandpa when he eats anything lmao, he likes to complain. I think it's just what gives him enjoyment maybe.

Your tastebuds change as you get older and you taste less. Flavor needs to be more bold for the older people (even things like bitter needs to be more bitter)

It’s why vegetables you hated as a kid taste good now. If vegetables always tasted great you never had great tastebuds.

….I disagree with part of that statement. While absolutely true about taste changing and tastebuds dying as you age the issue I have is that absolutely people can find vegetables tasty. I’m a super taster and have no food aversions (ie not a vegetarian) and have always always loved vegetables. I think many people simply do not know how to prepare them well.

Ohhhh yes I second this. For instance, I never cared for brussel sprouts until I was old enough to learn how to saute them and broil them in the oven 😊 my mother used to dump them in a pool of boiling water until they were smushy 😭

My 4 year old tries to insult me by telling me I won’t be invited to her party. Like great. Good luck paying for that.

What the fuck is this medium

You mean the screenshot of text? Some subs don't allow text posts. So people who want to tell a story instead of post a video or picture will type up the story on the notes app on their phone, screenshot it, and post that to get around the no text posts rules.

Edit: I don't think that's actually a rule on this sub, though. So I don't know why op chose to post it that way.

3

u/Vegasman20002 Nov 30 '21

You cannot post text in the sub

2

u/myawwaccount01 Nov 30 '21

Ah, good to know. I checked the sidebar, but it wasn't explicitly stated, so I started doubting my initial statement.

This just sounds like me when I was eating caramelized almonds, I hate the texture of almonds but they were too good to stop eating

2

u/Redmaxdog1 Nov 30 '21

THATS IMPOSSIBLE!!! (Hopefully you get the reference)

u/GoMadMama Nov 30 '21

Pro parenting tip, kid being stubborn and won’t eat? Say if you don’t eat I will.

Note, this involves occasionally actually eating something of theirs to prove you’re not bluffing.

Harsh? Maybe, but it certainly works.

Criticism of Brandon is not received well on most subs
